AN: Before going in, please be reminded that this is my very first Ace Attorney story.
It is divided into shifts to avoid confusion of the events, and yes, this is purely based on my own fan-comic, currently has 25 pages and counting. I wanted to re-write those events in here, so I hope you like it!
... one last thing about the story roster, I won't be including characters from Ace Attorney Investigations. Because I only played the following: The Original Trilogy, Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney, Dual Destinies, and Spirit Of Justice. Sorry for those who were expecting characters from Ace Attorney Investigations, but as far as I'm concerned, I really don't know their traits to fit in through.
Alright, read on! :D

Ivy University
5:38 AMIts the start of the school and I'm already late!
Footsteps of my own clacking shoes is what could I consider as rhythm. These past few days seem so busier than the heavy frights down at the docks, anyone can tell.
But this one's different.
After some sprinting later, I reached the Ivy University. Hardly the section was primarily mixed with either sides.
Inside was quite reformed. This was not the first thing I was expecting from the last time I was here.
In front of me was the Ivy University, but three pathways split apart as soon as I stepped on the Inner Gate. One side had the Defense Banner beside the entrance, so I guess that would be the Defense Quarters. The middle pathway was the Judiciary Halls, probably because of the absence of banners and to the size of the three complexes-- having the taller degree than the two classrooms. And the last pathway, was the Prosecution Chambers. One of the most honored and feared classes around.
I was even wondering why would I even consider trying the higher stakes. Things... really changed here, I concur.
But enough with those, I have classes to attend to.
---
Despite the spacious interior, I decided to get rounded up on one corner and think of something I would highly expect. The classroom was halfway to get full, so I sat at the chair I chose, and waited as my other new classmates rush in and take on their respective chairs. Those who were late would have to endure the "first come, first serve" policy infamously in the start of this class, namely by any kind of classroom you are currently in.
Yep, I'm not a stranger to those things.
Each and every corner was all strangers to me. Unknown and are ready to crack on certain standout traits they have in store.
Then I felt a nudge of finger on my wrist.
"Hello!"
A guy beside me, greeted cheerfully.
Strange. I wouldn't expect someone to be so friendly, especially in the first class encounters.
I tried to smile as I greeted him back.
"Hello..."
I was really, really, really bad at socializing. I could swore to myself that I'm not convenient on the outside and communicating. If I try so hard, it would either turn out awkward or just plain things in the eyes of the other.
"Hmm... you okay?"
A question. You wouldn't pass the day without a single question being thrown at you.
"I'm fine. I'm just a new one here, so..." I faltered. I guess he would get the rest of the story.
I received a laugh at him.
"You seem like one of those types who like to be on the dark side of the room." He smiled at me knowingly. "Alright. I understand, don't worry."
Is it just me, or did he intently did understand me?
"Sorry at that."
"No, no! You don't have to. I think that's cool."
No one would consider to find some interesting conversation in the middle of first class. But this... perhaps I was wrong.
"I'm Kristoph by the way." He said as he offered his hand to me. I accepted and I smiled a bit.
"Pleased to meet you. I'm Phoenix."
First the graphic changes, then this. Perhaps they did change at all.
"Time for chemistry, I think!" Kristoph glimmered with anticipation. I guess the guy loves the chemistry sessions.
The teacher entered and we exchanged greetings. After that, an all-around dose of boredom to most of us plagued across our entire faces.
This is the typical chemistry class. We usually float our heads off to something, and when the questions get thrown randomly at us, we would either get the answer or just remain speechless.
But most of the time, I tried to listen as hard as I could. Those chemical compositions, the equations... all mushed up into my brain.
Not until the time came to a 3 minute remaining turn. Our heads began to lift up from the boredom.
"Alright class, that would be your assignment for today."
The class was all but silent. However, as soon as the door closed, the classroom was now livid once more. I stayed in my usual seat while watching the outside through the windows. Kristoph was scribbling the notes as he went to me as soon as he was finished.
And with that pitch, the bell rung.
"Come on. It's breaktime!"
---
It was recess.
The first recess in this whole school year.
All I ate was a sandwich and sat at one bench. It was getting warmer as time goes on, prickling those who were exposed outside the classroom vicinity.
"Ah, well... summer surely would leave." Kristoph grunted. "I guess the winter would come along shortly."
I looked very far away. "There's always winter, Kristoph. What's with the cold temperature?"
Kristoph shrugged as he pouted. "I hate freezing things, that's all."
I chuckled at myself. He would never like the Borscht Bowl Club if I ever invited him there then.
That place. It was full of memories. One thing it reminds me now is the winter has to offer.
