June 7, Friday
Trial Cell no. 2, Judiciary Hall, Ivy University

"Are we sure we didn't forget anything back at the room?" Apollo asked as he stood beside me, re-checking our own notes.

I nodded. "I believe we're on the right track, Apollo. We just have to defend Mia and we're good."

Apollo gave me a blink and he smiled a bit, somehow trusting his own rather than making problems again in thinking. Whew, what a grief.

The gavel pounded into the stand. The crowd of students from the campus came to witness the proceedings. I felt the tense of everyone weighed down at me and Apollo, since rumors spreads faster than a wildfire in this matter. And we can't help it. Let them judge for now. We'll show them the culprit in a while anyway.

Apollo looked at the judge presiding today. And he gasped a bit. "That's Judge Courtney!" He whispered with enough loudness to avoid the misconception.

"Judge Courtney?" I asked. Honestly, I don't know this person at all.

Apollo pumped his fists on chest level. "She's the badass teacher in the Judiciary, Mr. Wright!" He was smiling ever so happily. "And now, she's here presiding today on our case."

I smiled at him for his show of honor. "Wow, you truly know how to get around these parts, aren't you?"

But our chatter had to stop momentarily as the gavel pounded two times.

"Order!" Judge Courtney shouted and the crowd went silent to their respective seats.

"This is it." I muttered.

"Court is now in session. Please refrain from unecessary inconvenience as the trial proceeds." She puts her gavel down. And seeing that everyone seems to agree, she nodded gratefully. "Very well. The opening statement, prosecution."

On the other side of the bench, was an another man wearing dark bluegreen suit, with the vest in light color and stripes, and a pair of black pants. But the most identical to him was the metallic mask covering his upper face, with red lines flaring like straight out of sci-fi movie. Apollo seems to know him a bit, as he displays surprise all of a sudden.

"Well apparently..." The man spoke, seemingly in deep voice. "... reports says that a defense student was accused of using forged evidence from the last case. The prosecution believes that the student is indeed guilty as charged." He ended the opening statement with a little smirk.

"Forged evidence?" Judge Courtney was shocked to hear the dreaded thing.

The man nodded. "It is as it was stated, Your Honor."

"He seems really eager to get us a verdict right now, Mr. Wright..." Apollo cautiously whispered.

Well, back to the distress, I guess. Poor Apollo...

"We'll get out of this, Apollo. We should believe in Mia just like she did on your trial. Besides, if you let the lies win before you could even speak, the truth will abandon you unhanded."

Apollo nodded once more. He needs to calm down and help me with everything we've got.

"The prosecution calls its first witness."

"This is it..." I muttered.

On the stand, was a girl with red scarf and formal-looking uniform. She is frowning, and a gauze was wrapped on her one hand.

"Your name and section, witness."

"I am Lana Skye. Student council president of the Prosecution Chamber."

"Very well..." Suddenly a cup slides beside the masked man. He took a gulp and smirked. "... please testify on what the council thoughts about this case."

Lana nodded. "As you wish."

---

"I came to the student council meeting after I received orders from the others. As I reached the room, the council was discussing something about forgery. After that, we made a conclusion that the current defendant should be expelled due to her disobedience of the rules."

---

Notes:

A woman is responsible. Or some 'attention-seeker'.

The council absolutely did nothing or even heard the gossips, since the council itself is located at the Judiciary Halls.

Outer connections, specifically.

Evidence:

Tape Recorder - contains a recording about the gossip in the detention center.

---

How funny. We only got one shot of evidence at this...

"How vague." Apollo frowned. "The testimony is just stuffed with lies..."

Judge Courtney nodded as she heard the testimony. "Defense, I think its time."

Both me and Apollo nodded politely. "Yes, Your Honor." We also both said in unison.

AN: Man, I'm still alive! Its great to somehow write again, it takes me back when studies were not-so demanding and I can follow up updates. Damn, I miss the previous me... T^T

Anyway, the court record layout seems different, but don't be confused. Since the setting is on a school, its only natural that students take down notes rather than adding it as an evidence. I know, pretty confusing, but hey, I take notes when I'm playing AA (I'm on the third game), believe it or not, and it helped me a lot so I did it as the same here. ;D

Lastly, for the roster thingy, I'm finding some copy of the Investigations so I can play it. So maybe, the roster might include some of the characters from the Investigations. ^•^
