Defense Canteen, Ivy University
9:21 AMThe canteen was separated into four wings. The Upper Wing, which was the loading station where we can get food. The Lower Wing, or the entering-exit of the complex. The West Wing, for the sophomores. And lastly, the East Wing, for the Freshmen.
It was entirely neat and organized like some sort of strict protocol had kept them at bay. Since Apollo was a sophomore, he would be most likely sitting on the West Wing.
But that turned out to be wrong.
"Hey, over here!"
Apollo was shouting at the East Wing, having his own lunch halfway done probably because they only had shorter lectures. Nonetheless, we sat down with him on the table he was sitting at.
"Aren't you supposed to be on the West Wing with the other sophomores?" I asked.
Apollo shrugged like it was nothing. "Heck, that don't apply on me now."
"I still don't understand, Apollo. You might get yourself into detention with that crazy old woman."
Mia was intently listening on us, but she wasn't speaking or responding. Apollo just chortled at me for being so ridiculously cautious.
"Aw come on, Mr. Wright. That was the last thing I would ever hear from her detainees."
I blinked. "You became one?"
"Who me? No, never." Apollo smiled like a daredevil.
"In that case... You were--"
"A rebel." Mia finished. I stared at her very confused. Why is everything so new to me?
"Wait, a what?"
Apollo leaned back on his chair and looked up at the ceiling. "Exactly."
"Just remind me not to be curious, alright?"
Apollo became baffled. "Who asked first comes with an answer, Mr. Wright. That is what my master librarian told me."
"In short, habits." Mia added. "You could blame the librarian now."
I waved my hands "No thank you."
KRRRIIINNNGGG
The bell had wringed itself. It was audible almost everywhere.
"Oh, I've better get going now. See you later!" That was Apollo's last call as he rushed to the Lower Wing, leaving me and Mia on our own.
"We better get going too." She spoke. "I'm sure our Law Teacher is waiting on the library."
"Gladly."
That was the most boring thing I could speak with, but I was reminded that it was just Mia. She could get along at anywhere. I was surprised she wasn't annoyed of my questioning, that helped a lot to get through this University.
She gave me my bag as we both walked down to the library.

Defense Library, Ivy University
11:10 AMThis couldn't get any worser than a sunday drive, ain't it?
A law book in my front, a teacher that I couldn't even hear from miles away, and Mia who was intently listening. She poked at my shoulder and caused me to get back to reality in an instant.
"That's a whole round of snooping around with an airhead, Phoenix."
"I'm bored, Mia. Not soiled."
"In that case, keep your head high up." She urged. "It won't take long now before we get dismissed."
I hoped she was right. The boredom is killing me. Our law teacher looks like he's going to snap someone's neck if he notices us, and that could mean trouble.
And then I noticed that Mia was intently listening on the lectures being dicussed halfway finished beyond recognition if not paid with careful listening.
I was starting to think that it was indeed weird for a person like Mia. The Mia I know is mischievous at times when boredom strikes, the one who is insanely secretive and simply an introvert-- a person who doesn't care about the plain happenings, and one of the most amazing classmates I've met. That was all I could list for her common traits and do's, but I still couldn't figure out why she is so... silent at all times.
That made me wonder up until now. And the whole blanket of silence isn't going to help me...

Detention Center"How dare they..." *sniff*
"I know... it's my fault. Don't put everything on you, it wouldn't help."
"But..."
"Please."
*Silence*
"... I... I want to share the pain they put you through right now..."
"Then, what will you do? A nobody like me deserves nothing of your brilliance."
"No, that is not what I meant. I will make sure they'll pay... especially her."
"You will... avenge me?"
"They will pay, Kristoph. You've done enough to suffer..."
"I... I can't say no to that, milady..."
