(Seventeen)

After breakfast, Mom gave me a choice if I wanted to stay here for a bit while she, Suko, dad and my siblings went to the building and I nodded my head faster than anything. "Alright. I'll see you later." Mom beamed as she hugged me and Luna and Utsumi before leaving with the others. Luna and I headed back to her room and Utsumi went to the beautiful living room. As soon as Luna brought out her laptops (yes I said laptops. She had like 3 of them), handed me one and we both sat on the bed. Before I can open mine, Luna said, "Don't." Confused, I asked, "Don't what?" "Take off your necklace first." She ordered. "Why?"

I don't know why, but if you have a necklace like mine, these computers will suck you in and you will be in so-called 'Virtual Reality'." She explained. I sighed and did as I was told before opening the laptop. "Uhhh...Luna." I showed her the screen. The screen had an empty scanner place in the shape of a teardrop. Much like Luna's and my necklace. "oh yeahhh...I forgot about that." She took the laptop, held her necklace in front of the camera and the laptop unlocked.

"Thanks," I said. "No problem, wait, let me see that." I handed her the laptop, she quickly went to settings, took my necklace, held it in front of the camera and set it back down, handing me the laptop. "I just had to put your necklace in the system so I won't I have to keep doing it. " "oh. Ok." I nodded.

-A few minutes later-

Mom and the others came back and we, along with Utsumi went to greet them. Rosalie had 2 bags in her hand, Roman was carrying 4 books all belonging to 'The Azura Series', Mom was holding about 5 bags with dad holding some others. "Thanks again, Mr-" "Suko is just fine, Ravena." Suko smiled. Mom looked down and beamed, "Suko then. Thank you, so very much. You really didn't have to do this..." Suko bowed slightly, "It is my pleasure Ravena. I'll see you and your family next week, correct?" Mom nodded, "Ye-" "actually, I have to work all week." Dad cut in sharply.

"Oh, that's fine. We'll...wait for you." Suko said slowly. Was it just me and my powers or was I sensing tension between Dad and Suko? "We best be going, are you coming, Ravena?" Dad asked as he walked outside. It didn't seem much like a question and more like a demand. Mom sighed, "I'm so sorry about that, Suko." She suddenly seemed stressed. "It's alright. I'll see you on Monday." Suko said with a reassuring smile as he gently patted her arm. Mom gave a stressed smile before calling to us, "Come on, Reisen, Rosalie and Roman." We all moved to follow her, all 3 of us hesitant, but Luna pulled me back briefly and handed me the laptop, "Here. Take it, we'll talk tomorrow."

And with that, we 5 loaded into the limo with the driver, who helped us in and drove off in the direction of our home, away from the mansion. Dad was stern-faced and thin-lipped. It wasn't just me, I bet all of us, including the driver, felt the tension roll off of his shoulders like tidal waves.
