*After school*

After I and everyone else that lived on my street unloaded from the bus, I headed straight home and pushed open the door. Everything seemed so...gray. Rose and Roman were at the kitchen table. Rosalie on her phone and Roman reading. "MOM!" I called. "Mom isn't home...."Roman said in an unfamiliar monotone voice. "Then...where did she go..?" I asked. "She went with Suko after Dad was...."Rosalie's voice trailed off. We knew where he went.

I looked down, locked the door and headed upstairs, my world becoming grayer. I opened my door and walked in. On my bed was a letter. I picked it up and read it. It was in scrawly, hard to read handwriting. Dad's handwriting.

Reisen,

I'm sorry. I really am. I didn't mean to go at you like that last night. I wasn't in my right mind and after I sobered up...I realized I shouldn't have done such a terrible thing to you or this family.

The paper also had tear stains on them as if dad had been...crying when he wrote this letter.

I'm so dumb! I shouldn't have starting drinking again all because I thought in my sick brain that some rich, famous fashion designer guy would come and take my Ravena. She probably feels I'm a bad influence on you kids and will probably be happier if I wasn't your lives. Now, she doesn't have to care about an alcoholic businessman...Suko can have her...I don't deserve her....or any of you children. Just know, I love you honey and always will.

With Love,

Your Father

I put the letter down and bawled my eyes out quietly. It's been a while since I cried this much tears. They were really separating and it was all because I snitched! I was the one that was making them separate! I was the one, not him, ME! And I made myself believe it too.
