Chapter 13

Kimmy's Prov.

My eyes fly open. I'm now laying in a hospital bed. I notice a few people standing in the window, but I can't see their faces. They're talking. One looks like a cop, though.

I press the button that signals a nurse.

"O Dear! You're up! This is great!" She says with joy.

"What happened?" I ask her.

"That depends. What do you remember?"

"The last thing I remember is walking to my boyfriend's dorm room. How-why am I here?"

"I'm sorry I'm not suppose to answer that, but if you could just wait a little bit. He will come talk to you. Right now he's talking to a very handsome man."

I look at the window again, and I notice it's Theo. She's talking about Theo. Suddenly anger runs through my blood.

Am I jealous? No, I can't. I have a boyfriend. A new one, but where is he?

Theo's Prov.

I sit in Kimmy's hospital room, until a nurse tells me I have to leave because I'm not family.

I take one last glimpse at her, and I'm taken back to the last time I saw her in a hospital bed. Seeing her peaceful is soothing. Knowing that right now she's safe from that boy.

When I walk out of her room a police officer approaches me.

"Hello sir. Are you Mr. James?" He asks me.

"Yes, sir." I reply.

He starts to asks me questions about what I was doing at the time when I got the text, and other things like that.

"Well, it's great that this world has decent young men like you." He says smiling.

He wouldn't think that if he knew why Kimmy and I broke up.

"Hello sir, she's up." A young nurse says coming out of Kimmy's room.

I start to walk forward, so I can see her, but the nurse stops me.

"Sorry, but only the officer can see her at this time. Even if you are handsome." She says smiling.

I just roll my eyes. "Can you just tell me when I can see her?"

"Okay." With that she walks off.

Kimmy's Prov.

Cop: "Whats the last thing you remember?"

Me: "Like I said to the nurse, the last thing I remember is walking to my boyfriend, Kevin's, dorm room."

Cop: "Can you tell me the date?"

Me: "Yes, October 17."

The cop looks down, like he was afraid, or just didn't want to tell me something.

Cop: "I think maybe a friend, and the person who saved you should tell you what happened."

Me: "O. Okay."

He walks out.

Theo's Prov.

The officer walks out. He puts one of his hands on my shoulder.

"The last thing she remembers is walking to her 'boyfriend's' dorm room. I think maybe you should be the one to tell her what happened."

"Okay."

I open the door. Kimmy's eyes meet mine. In a split second her eyes went from bright with curiosity to anger.

"I know I'm probably the last person you want to talk to right now but-" She cuts me off.

"Just tell me what happened." She says bored.

"I don't know all the details, but I will tell you what I do know. I got a text from you." I show her the text.

"I-I think I remember writing this. I was in a hurry, and I couldn't see well because of the tears. I must of texted you instead of the 'The Help Line'."

"When I got the text I ran to your's and Nikki's dorm room. She told be where you were. When I got there I busted the door open to see you half dead, and a m- boy on top of you. All my anger came out. I fought him off of you."

"You did?"

"Yes, and after I beat him up I saw you in need of a doctor. I carried you here. Kimmy, did he touch you?"

"I-I... No. At least not that I can remember." She says tearing up.

"It's okay. Everything is okay." I say embracing her with a hug.

"Thank you for saving me. I wish I would have believed you." She cries.

"No. It's my fault." I say hushing her.

"Please don't leave me ever again." She begs.

"I will never. I want, no I need, you." I say making her look into my eyes.

"I need you too." She smiles.

I lean in to kiss her. When our lips collide it feels like I'm alive again. Sparks start from my lips, and spread out all through out my body.

"I love you." I confess.

"I love you too." She replies.

Kimmy's Prov.

Theo kisses me. I suddenly remember the reasons I fell in love with him. Not for his looks, but they do help, but for his passion. He's a kind, gentle person. I love him. More than he will ever know.

"I love you." He says.

My eyes light up when he says that. "I love you too." I smile.
