If Only You Knew (Gryfferin Au)

-Parental permission-

  "This is unacceptable. If i wanted my child dead i would've thrown him infront of the wizards myself." The voice said.

"Your responsibility is nothing but to protect him." They heard the voice continue from behind the headmaster's office.

"Oh boy." Salazar said, looking down at Gordric. Salazar had his right arm around Godric's neck to be able to keep his balance.

"Don't worry. Your father can't be any worse than mine." Caron told his students while leaning on a cane.

"I still think you should've stayed Proffesor. You have third degree burnes on your back. Standing up and walking is like a poison to you. Remember?" Godric said.

"Yeah yeah. I think I'll be fine." Caron said and pressed lips from pain after he took a step closer to the door.

*Knock knock*

"Come in." Floc said and with that, the door opened and they entered the office.

  The first thing that really cought their eyes was Salazar's dad in an all black, long fur coat with his black short hair shining under the candle's light. 

"Salazar. Are you okay? I got here as soon as i could." The tall man said, shoving his black gloves in his pocket.

"Dad. I'm fine. Why are you here anyway?" Salazar asked with frustration. Salazar's attitude made Ives frown in anger.

"A-" Caron was cut off by Ives.

"I'm taking you out of this school." He said. "WHAT?" Godric asked with a shocked face.
Ives didn't answer. He didn't even look at Godric when the others jumped up a bit.

"Hold on. You're not doing that." Salazar said while taking his arm off Godric's neck.

"I-" Godric was shushed by his friend's father. "Oh C'mon." Godric whispered.

"Look at yourself. It was their responsibility to protect you." Ives answered, pointing at Cadarota.

"E-" Ives stopped the tall Proffesor from talking again.

"Yeah. And he's doing just that by teaching us, ALL of us how to take care of ourselves and the ones we love. Besides, look at him. He did it to protect us. US." Salazar argued and pointed at Caron furiously.

  *BAM*

"You can't take Slazar away. I mean, you're the father but don't. Please?" The girls came in without a knock and Rowena started arguing immediately. They were both breathing heavily.

"Who are you two?" Ives asked, pointing at the girls.

"I... I'm Helga and this is Rowena. We're Salazar's best friends. Please... let Salazar stay. We need him." Helga hardly answered from breathing so heavily.

"I am not going to stand here and let young ones tell me what yo do and what not to do, Salazar. You're coming with me." Ives angrily said and walked towards the door.

"No I'm not. Give me one good reason I would follow you out of here." Salazar replied with a smirk and crossed arms.

Ives stopped. He was going mad at this point. His jaw clenched and he formed a fist. "The one thing i truely regret is allowing your mother to raise you and let you precive her attitude."

"Oh. Almost forgot. Orlando is waiting downstairs Godric. He asked me to do the talking so that he wouldn't have to... Use wand force on you. Come on."  Godric swallowed hard after hearing the last part of the sentence and just followed Ives out without a word.

Helga and Rowena were watching in shock as Godric left without a word and just an 'im sorry.' expression on his face.

"Headmaster... What just happened?" Rowena asked. "I wish i knew why Godric changed his mind so quickly. He seemed pretty determined to stay." Floc said.

Salazar shook his head and crossed his arms again. "I think we need to... Get back to our dormitories. I'm pretty tired myself." Salazar said, trying hard to hide his anger.

"Can we stay in the same room just for this one night, Headmaster?" Helga asked with puppy eyes which made it impossible for Floc to say no.

          *Fast forwarding to night*

  "I already miss Godric. Can you even imagine how fun it would've been sitting here with him, eating dinner?" Helga said, playing with her food.

Salazar hadn't touched his food at all. "Hey. Come on now. Grab a bite." Rowena said.

Salazar looked at Rowena and said "All i want to do right is to find a snake, talk to it, make a snake army and kill Godric's dad." Rowena rolled her eyes.

"How about you talk to us instead. We're pretty good listeners. But I'm not so sure about the army part." Rowena said, placing her hand on Salazar's.

Salazar sighed. "I'll tell you everything when we're in our room. Okay?" The girls nodded and got back to eating.

Eventually, they left the dining area early and went to their room. It was a simple room with 3 beds and 3 night stands in it.

  The girls sat down and listened to Salazar who was sitting on a bed infront of them.

"So, our fathers have been close friends and the reason for that is cause they have similar personalities." Salazar looked down after finishing his sentence.

"The only difference between them is that my father takes it easy. But Godric's, doesn't." he continued with his eyes still on the floor.

"One day when we were kids..."
