If Only You Knew (Gryfferin Au)

"Look, Louise, we're supposed to stay out of dark and unknown places. There is literally a sign tha-" Louise rolled her eyes and groaned.

"Helga, this is a test. If we don't push our limits and use our powers, we may fail it. C'mon!" Rowena narrowed her eyes as she waited for Louise to continue.

"Worst case scenario-" [Helga intruppted Louise] "We'll get eaten by an ogre. This isn't a joke. Rowena?! Say something!"

"She might be right. Professors do that." Rowena's words made Helga jump up slightly.

"You two defeated famous killers. I honestly expected more, guys." Louise added with a smirk before grabbing Rowena's wrist and dragging her in the dusky hole.

Helga groaned before forcing herself to follow her teammates. "You don't really hate danger, do you Louise?" she whispered to herself.

-LUMOS MAXIMA
Rowena chanted, lighting up the way.

The walls started getting closer and closer as minutes passed by. Eventually, it norrowed so much that if two people were going to pass, they had to go one by one.

"Is it just me or do you also feel like you're going to die any minute." Rowena was breathing heavily, trying to get all the air she could in her lungs.

"Just try to relax and... Think about something else I suppose." Louise carelessly suggested which made Rowena give her a death glare.

"You know, on a second thought, this isn't fun or adventurous at all." Rowena added with a hand on her jumpy chest.

After what felt like hours of walking, they got to an entrance.

"Look! I think we're finally here." Louise smirked and held her wand tightly in her fist.

"Where exactly is HERE?" Helga asked with crossed arms.
"That's what we're about to find out." Louise answered with a wide smile.

"Woah!" Helga's jaw dropped as she
followed Louise inside the entrance.
"I can't believe a place this beautiful could ever exist." she added while looking around.

The walls were covered in shiny crystals, just like the entire cave. The only difference was that the crystals here were glowing blue and lit up the place just perfectly.

"I think the only 'great and scary' creature living here would be a mermaid, believe me." Rowena smiled, pointing at the large waterfall.

"Your breathing is back to normal!" Helga happily hugged Rowena. Louise rolled her eyes. "Hey check this out! What is this thing anyway?" she pointed at a meduim sized insect on a rock.

"Looks like some kind of a scorpion to me." Rowena said as she kneeled to take a closer look at the creature. "Yeah but why is it so... Pale?" Helga asked.

"Because it hasn't seen the sunlight in centuries. Neither have I." they heard a voice from behind.

"Who said that?" Rowena asked with a frown.

"I'm Themis. I... I was banished here, the infinite realm, by The Black Dimond." Helga froze and immediately locked eyes with Rowena who was just as shocked.

Louise took the first step towards the voice. "Where are you?" she asked as she held her wand firmly in her shaky hand.

"Don't!" Rowena grabbed her teammate's wrist. "We have no idea if she's being honest o-" [the voice intruppted] "Come towards the black gem. Next to the waterfall."

And with that, Louise freed her wrist from Rowena's grasp and followed the voice without saying a word.

"Stoooop! Remember the sign?" Helga tried to stop Louise but she didn't seem to hear her.

Louise stood infront of a large, reflective gem. "There's a person in here who needs our help and I won't let you two have all the fun for doing big things. What have you done that I can't do?" she didn't move her eyes from the black gem.

Before Helga or Rowena could make another move, Louise was suddenly pulled to the surface of the gem like a strong magnet and started screaming in pain.

Rowena ran towards Louise but there was an invisible barrier around her that stopped her friends from getting closer or casting any spells.

Seconds later, the mirror shattered into pieces and Louise fell to the ground.

"We need help."

*Meanwhile*

"This stop is called 'the elephant's paw' because as you can see, the crystals are naturally shaped like an elephant's leg and paw. This used to be a place where people could sleep on." The professor finished explaining.

Godric nodded to himself and kept walking forward. "Where are you Salazar?" he asked himself. After examining small creatures living there, he heard foot steps behind him.

He stood up, taking his wand out of his pocket. He heard the footsteps again but this time, they seemed to be much closer. When he was about to turn around, he felt two arms tightly locking themselves around him.

He groaned and tried to get out but stopped when he felt a familiar warmth on his neck. "Found you." Salazar said before planting a soft kiss on Godric's cheek.

"Let's move forward. Somewhere... Far away from these stops." Godric suggested and felt Salazar's arms loosen around him.

"Have you heard of the girls?" Salazar asked. "The last time i talked to them was around three hours ago. You?" Godric asked while putting an arm around Salazar's shoulder.
"Not really." Salazar shook his head.

"You know it's dark enough and we're not anywhere near the stops." Godric said while blushing. "Yes that's very true but, what are you trying to say?" Salazar asked with a smirk.

-EXPLOMO SALAZAR
Salazar jumped up when he heard his name being called. He looked around and noticed a small hole on the wall.

"Helga? Godric asked. "Listen to me closely. We need your help right now." she added.
