If Only You Knew (Gryfferin Au)

-Lucid dream-

Everywhere was white. Why did she feel like she was awake but couldn't move?

"Am i having a sleep paralysis?" Helga asked herself while trying hard to open her eyes.

"Helga? Helga? If you hear me, don't be afraid sweetheart." she heard a feminine voice call her name.

"It's just a dream." a more masculine voice added. Helga was terrified at this point. "Who are they?" she asked herself.

"I'm Livia. Try not to panic. Then you may have a clear vision of us." Helga was shocked. Could they hear her thoughts? She tried her best to keep calm.

The woman was right. As soon as Helga relaxed, the empty white scene started showing more color and texture.

There was a figure of what looked like a tall woman standing infront of her.

"Who are you?" Helga asked. "Try to relax and you'll know, dear." The woman replied so calmy that Helga could tell she was smiling.

Helga got so overwhelmed and scared that her mind stopped working. The image of the mysterious woman slowly got further away from her and the scene was back to being all white again.

"Wake me up! Wake up. Wake up." Helga repeated to herself while tears of frustration and fear streamed down her cheeks.

Meanwhile, she felt a force grabbing her shoulders and shaking her. Slowly, she opened her eyes.

"Are you okay?" Rowena asked with a worried look. "You were screaming in your sleep." Rowena added while cupping her bestfriend's cheeks.

"Was i?" Helga's breath was just as shaky as her hands at this point.
"Calm down you just had a bad dream, Helga." one of the girls in the room said with a smile.

"Let's go get some air." Rowena pulled Helga up by her wrist and they both left the room.

"So, what was your dream about?" She asked while handing Helga a glass of water.

Helga looked down for a few seconds before answering so that she could build up enough courage to talk about it.

"I... I couldn't move. It was a nightmare. I couldn't talk or open my eyes. It felt like standing infront of a giant with no wands." Rowena listened to her friend carefully.

"The strangest part is that there was a woman who knew me." Helga swallowed hard to avoid crying.

"I know it's hard for you but remember that it was just a dream." Rowena gently stroked Helga's arm.

"I know but... It felt too real." Helga said with no emotions.

Rowena was heart broken to see her friend's beautiful green eyes sparkle with tears.

She was trying hard to think of the woman's name but she couldn't recall a thing.

   *Fast forwarding to the afternoon*

"That's not how it's done! You should do it next to a wall or else it won't work or you'll end up contacting someone else!" Godric explained to Rowena.

"But it did the last time I'm telling you." Rowena argued. "And i didn't even have my wand." she added with crossed arms.

"That's the thing. You don't need your wand to do this." Salazar said under his breath.

"You don't need to be around a wall either. Just focus on the person you want to talk to, chant Explomo a few times and boom. It'll work." He added with a smirk on his face.

"How are you so sure?" Rowena asked.
"It worked that one time when i called Caron during my fight with Gustavo."

The argument went back and forth like that for a few minutes.

"But it really didn't the one time i tried a-" Godric was stopped by Helga.

"You guys should calm down! This is a new spell that we've found. We don't exactly know what it can and can't do." Helga finally broke her silence.

"She's right. They're taking us to a cave today. Let's make sure we use Explomo there just to find out a bit more about it." Godric said with a smile.

"Now let's go get dressed. I heard someone say that we're gonna have to wear glasses and fur coats because of the snow." Rowena said with a confused face.

"I don't think we'll need them." Godric replied with a smirk while shoving his hands in his pockets.

         *During the visit to the cave*

  "Wow look!" One of the students shouted with excitment while pointing at a big hill covered in snow.

"Yup. That's where we're going." Wholes let out a laugh and kept on flying the sleigh faster.

The cold snow was hitting everyone's face, showing no mercy. "Good thing we picked up these coats and glasses." Salazar told his friends.
"Tell me about it" Rowena replied with a smirk.

Everyone got off the sleighs shortly after spotting the hill they were going to enter.

"Now, ladies follow professor Caron and Gentlemen, follow me." Wholes said while pointing at girls and boys. The young students waved each other and seprated from one another.

"I'm so glad we get to go with Caron." A girl said with a loud laugh.
"Well thank you so much. I'm glad i get to guid you through this intresting experience either." the cherming man said with a smile.

The students took a moment to look around them. They were about to enter the heart of a hill that used to be a place where once people called it home.

There were two entrances. Entrance number 1 and 2.

"Come one now, let's go before we freez to death out here." Caron pointed at entrance number 2 and girls followed him.

  Meanwhile, boys were listening to Wholes talk about how historically unique this place was. Salazar and Godric gave their friends a smile before watching them enter the dark cave.
