~Unwinding with loved ones is a good day~
Festivities ended around two in the morning. Children began to fall asleep thus concluding today's event. Cleaning up is in order before retiring. Permitting Ace to mingle with Crystal upset you to the core knowing it's no one's fault but your own. You disgusted yourself for having to keep up appearances. You were always the one who disapproves of such childish ideas, but there is no way around it. Your relationship is by far unorthodox. Everything about it rang "weird". It would make anyone uncomfortable or better yet, intrigued. Unfortunately, your family did not easily give in to something out of culture when old habits do indeed die hard. You grumble under your breath picking up dishes while attempting to sustain yourself from exploding. All night Crystal has been handsy with your beloved and there was nothing you could do or say. Ace was left to kindly reject the woman from further contact. You pick up a half-eaten bowl of food, discarding the meat for the dogs to devour. Observing the meat get torn gave you a sick satisfaction. An exasperated sigh exhales from your lips as you close your eyes to compose yourself.
'The moment has passed. There is no need to whine about it.' You thought. Tomorrow held another obstacle you aren't looking forward to.
"Hmm...does (Y/n) seems a bit peeved to you?" Sabo queried observing you swab the tables.
"Probably, though I can't imagine why when I should be the one that's ticked for granting Crystal permission to dance with me." Luna sat patiently for Ace to drop a piece of meat. He smirks at the dog pleased she recalls the rules given to her prior to being rehomed. One full minute later, Luna remained focused. "Catch", on command she captures her reward, consuming it as if it's her last meal. "Good girl~!" He cheered squatting down for a congratulatory pat. Sabo scowls over his shoulder at his aloof brother.
"Ace..." He started sternly. Said man sighs with his eyes closed rising to his feet.
"I do, however, understand she carries a reason. It's not easy for her to break the news to her entire family that she's in a bigamy relationship when it's frowned upon. She must feel like crap having to overthink what they will say. She'll feel like she has shamed her family. I mean race already plays a big factor as well as her sexuality, style..." The more Ace points the obvious worse it sounds out loud. Sabo noticed the exact same thing causing the two to cringe.
"Poor baby. I feel at fault because we are selfish when it comes to her feelings. It took a long time to obtain (Y/n), but at what cost? We probably stress her out than she already is." The sight of you tossing the trash into the bin and kicking the dumpster concerns them.
"All we can do is be there for her and give her the happiness she deserves." One agreement, they approach you from behind, closing the lids up on the pots.
"Need help?" You jolt over the voice as your concentration snaps. You have forgotten you aren't alone.
"Ah...yeah. Take the last two pots inside." You carry one into the kitchen leaving it on one of the four burners. You step aside for them to do the same while you washed the dishes. "Everything is pretty much-taken care of. You guys can head to bed if you'd like?" The brothers exchange a look.
"Are you sure you don't need any help?" Sabo asked.
"No, I'm fine." You pause realizing you were probably giving them attitude. "I just..." You sigh, "...I just need time alone." Noted, the boys take a step back.
