(A/N): The title came from this song as well inspired me for the beginning above

~Giving chances, forgiving and willingness is better than not caring~

An inhale of air is held in your throat as you marvel at the residency of your parents in disbelief to a place you thought you would not return. A heavy hand squeezes your shoulder to ease your nerves. Standing on each side is none other than the support group that are your boyfriends'.

"Deep breathes." Ace advised. You do as he asks exhaling first and taking in a deep breath to soothe the anxiety within in exchange for clarity.

"We're right behind you all the way." Sabo reminded. For the first time in so long you acknowledge their encouragement, which fuels you with confidence knowing that whatever happens, you will be okay as long as you have the boys. Step out through the front door awaits your mother. She freezes at the same time your gazes lock. Where do you start or what do you say? Two words,

"Hi...mom." In an instant, you're embraced into a bear hug. The sudden action has you dumb for a second before gladly returning the favor. The weight of disappointment lifted. "I'm sorry." You whisper clutching with eyes shut and tears pricked on the edge. She rubbed your back and shushed you. The tender moment warmed Sabo and Ace's heart. She pulls away,

"No, I'm sorry. Ahora, vamos a presentar a tu novio a los demás." She mused guiding you in.

Questions bombarded the brothers as to how the relationship came to be. Most of the women in your family felt inquired to know while the others sat back as the answers are told. It was one after another opening a different view even though it's sought to be wrong. The family members seem to care more about your happiness and the journey it took to get where you are. Sabo kindly translated, of course. Ace staggered his words, for the first time since meeting you, he is nervous. You understand his feelings all too well being in the same position as he when meeting his family. He must feel sad that he didn't bother to totally learn your language while dating. It didn't even occur to him. Sabo, on the one hand, had planned it since day one. It wasn't the fact that he knew you are the one. It was just as he is. A nerd who plans ahead in case of emergencies. It leaves Ace at a disadvantage to impress anyone. Sabo's storytelling ends leaving the crowd entranced.

"Wow..." started. "That's angsty, yet beautiful."

"Y entonces una vez le propusiste a (Y/n)?" Your aunt asked turning to her sister, your mom with the larges smile on her face. Your mom mirrors her as all eyes land on you. Cheeks burn red curious as to what they're thinking.

"Ahora entiendo por qué viniste a visitarnos." Your mother teased. "Yes, tienes mi bendicion." Your eyes widen astonished along with Sabo. Ace is the only one left in the dark. He tilts his head quizzically,

"What did she say?" The blonde beams up at him.

"We have her blessing to marry (Y/n)."

"What?" Ace shoots up to his feet overjoyed. "A-are you serious?"

"De veras?" You translated for the ravenette.

"Yes, Ace." She chortled. In one fell swoop, he kneels for a crushing hug causing her to laugh and pat his head awkwardly. Embarrassed, you shout his name.

"Muchas gracias seniora (L/n)!" It's your turn to chuckle as you witness your mother blush for the first time as well. Next, you gloss over to your father.

"Are you okay with this, dad?" The spotlight generates on him without intention.

"If this is what you want, I can't stop you and as long as you're happy, I am okay with it. This is your life, your decision. As your father, I can only get behind what you want." A small smile tugs your lips. One thing you remembered you can count on is your dad's 'can do' attitude. He's never said no to you, but then again you rarely saw each on a daily basis.
