~Surprises are fun if you're open minded~
Standing on the street before a building is a sign reading:
Tattoos
"This is the beginning of my party?" You inquired, pasted on the sign. The brunette nodded enthusiastically. "You wanted a couple of special tattoos, right? So I made an appointment. I might jump in for a new one too." She added. "Yeah, a long time ago!" You squawked. "I feel like I have enough as it is." A wave of self-consciousness shakes you up at the thought of how society will perceive you tagged up. Two sleeved tats, diagonal to a limb. It should suffice, right? Too much is a turn-off, as an opinion, and removing is sought to be painful than earning one. You cringe at the thought. "Uhm... we don't have to if you don't want to?" Lyn rubs her nape. "I should have asked first, but what's a few more?" She implored. A neat design has tickled you to draw, but with wedding arrangements, there was never the right time. Today is the chance you've been seeking, inspired by the boys. The idea transpires, motivating to accept. "Okay." You agreed. "I have two crests I want, and done correctly."
"I'm sure he can do it exactly how you want it." She gave your shoulder a soft pat. "Now come on, before the day ends." Hesitant, you take one last inspection just before setting foot into the parlor.
Inside, the décor matches the artistic side of every employee. The walls graffitied with a story, a background filled with a plethora of characters and unique shapes. Boards of tattoos framed behind the counter as an option for the indecisive. Lyn checked in with a pretty, blonde girl at the reception desk, who asked for an ID to photocopy and had them sign a release. A standard procedure in reputable shops. "Hey, Lyn!" A cheerful tenor called, exiting one of the private rooms. "Is this the bride-to-be?" Said girl nodded to the man. He was rather peculiar looking. Bronze skin, an unusually long nose situated between wide, brown eyes with his long, black curls pulled into a ponytail. "This is Usopp, he's a fantastic artist and he'll take good care of you." She smiled. Both you and Usopp compete for a staring waiting, waiting for the other to speak. A bead of sweat appears from your temple. "Um...Lyn..." You started. "We've met at Thatch's birthday party and so on." You reminded. The brunette sweatdropped, mumbling to herself embarrassed. "Ah...yeah...I forget how social circles overlap."
"It's fine." Usopp chortled. "Lyn has told me you have an idea of what you want. We can go back to my studio and draw it out for me, then I can come up with a final sketch that I'll put on transfer paper." Eyes sparkle with interest. "Whoa, for real? I can doodle it out for you instead of describing it?" Describing, let alone explaining, is not your forte always is communicating what you mean, so it is alleviating to know the choice to draw is on the table. Then again its Usopp. A family friend and one of Luffy's best friends, it's a no brainer after his assistance will he gladly lend his services again. An embarrassing overseen thought has your cheeks grow a ruby hue. You make a mental note for an effort to recognize those around the Newgates for soon, you shall be part of the family forever. "Yup," Usopp confirmed. "I might adjust the size and such depending on where it's going. I find its usually easier for people to show me what they want. I can figure it out from there even if the drawing is pretty rudimentary." Brows furrow on the last part. "Excuse me? I am a great artist." You feigned offense. "S-s-sorry! That's not wha- I-I mean..." The ravenette stammered. "I didn't mean to insult you." A spurt of giggles befalls developing into laughter. "Dude, relax. I was just kidding. It's all good. I get you. Where do I start?" Usopp let out a loud sigh of relief wiping sweat from his brow and chuckled nervously. "You totally got me." Reaching into a drawer in his desk, he pulled out a sketchbook and flipped to a blank page before handing it to you with a mechanical pencil. "Here ya go."
"Thanks! In the meantime, Lyn can go first." You offered. "Oh, right I wanted to get that watercolor lotus we've been talking about." The brunette perked up. "I can freehand it," Usopp replied guiding her to the chair. Soon, their chatter drowned by the humming of the tattoo machine, leaving you to draw diligently.
