Once we get to the car I tell Olive and Joe why I just freaked out on Erik. After I finished we started to drive and they told me what they thought about the situation.
"I mean I think you had a right to freak out at him like that." Joe says as Olive nods agreeing. As soon as we get home we get inside and prepare for dinner. Joe talked the most. We pretty much only talked about the movie that we watched together and who should go to the store in the morning. I was the one to go to the store and Olive was the one to make the breakfast. Joe got off doing nothing but that won't happen next week. I cleared off the dishes and took the garbage out. Coming back inside Olive was on her phone on the couch and Joe was putting everything in the dishwasher. I look to the clock and have it only read 8:13. "Hey, do you guys want to go get ice cream from the ice cream parlor?" Joe sat sat down on the couch that Olive was sitting on while I was on the recliner chair. "Actually" Olive begins "I think I'm gonna call Mark. But you guys can go if you want." I mentally screamed at this. Mark was Olives boyfriend but Joe and I don't like him. We feel as though she occupies a lot of her time with him but rightfully so considering. But this summer we get to be together before we all move apart from each other around the world. "I'll go." Joe says. We both stand up and leave. The ice cream parlor was only three blocks away which I mentally made note of.
"What did Olive say she wanted?" Joe asked me as we I was looking at the menu. "A medium mint chocolate chip." I say still debating between a rocky road or a strawberry. "What are you having?" I asked as she looked down at her phone.
"The mango one." I crinkled my nose at her response. I've never been a fan of mango.
"Just because you don't like it doesn't mean other people don't like it. Weirdo." She says giving me a light smile. We took our order and waited in a booth near the front. Looking through my Instagram I heard the bell jingle on the door and looked up. Piercing blue eyes looked through the shop and mine went down. I tried to make sure he didn't see me. He walked up to the cash register and ordered to the girl in the front. I could hear his footsteps close and continued to scroll through the page. "Hello Emily." He said as I looked up.
