Andrew headed towards the door first and I went to Olive. She was wearing sweats and a band t-shirt. "So are you happy that your 'boyfriend' is here." she whispers to me as she pours herself a cup of coffee. "Yes actually I am. But I am exhausted."
"Oh from your DATE last night?" She asks really pumping the date. I looked around and thankfully Andrew wasn't around. "Shut up it wasn't a date!" I whisper screamed. "It was a hang out! Do you people not understand!"
"What do the people not understand?" Someone said as I looked behind. It was Andrew holding a rose in his hand.
"Nothing. What's with the rose?" I ask looking back to his hand.
"Oh... the person next door said that I should deliver this to you." He said pointing to me and continued. "The person said to follow the directions on the cards like a scavenger hunt." He finished handing me the rose. "I think Erik might have thought of it as a date." Olive whispered to me and my cheeks immediately got hot. That can't be true! Were just friends. All of this was way to confusing to me. "Em, are you okay?" Erik I mean Andrew said. Oh my gosh now he's invading my thoughts! "Uhhh yeah." I said sounding totally not okay. I began to look at the letter that Erik gave me. "The place where we first met." It read. Of course I really didn't have to think about this. We met on our dock and he didn't leave me with a very good first impression. I walked down to the dock enjoying the light breeze hitting me. As I was walking down I kept trying to rack my brain around why he would do this. The water looked beautiful with the sun hitting the waves. I picked up the flower and it read. "Sorry that I was so rude to you this day. The day you yelled at me for the first time." Oh so this must be at the mall? Thinking about it it almost seems like he's doing it in the order of our times together. I keep asking myself why I'm even following this stupid hunt. I mean really? We've barely gotten to know each other and know he sets this whole thing up? This is just weird!! Should I even continue with this quest?
