I'm Alexa Tanner. You're average 16 year old girl, well, not really. I live in a children's cancer hospital, I'd go to the Cancer Hospital but I have no money to afford it. I've been in this hospital for 6 years. I was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma, the most common type of stomach cancer, when I was ten years old. When I was eleven, my mom and dad got in a car wreck that killed both of them. Only at 11, I had no one to go to because my grandma and grandpa lived in the UK, my other family members were too far gone. My mother is my doctor, Lesley Dotson. My best friend was Emily Grace, a 7 year old girl who has brain cancer. She meant the world to me and I could never see her go. She was so strong. But my friend that I went to grade school with is Carter Landon. She visits often, she's so nice. I loved the band One Direction. They are what keep me going.
