The next morning Alice decided to get to school on her bike while Fred promised to pick Hermione up and drive together. He waved goodbye to his friend who smiled already a bit more than she did yesterday.

Hermione lived in enormous house and he actually was a bit jealous of it. Not that he was really that materialistic, but having an indoor and outdoor swimming pool seemed like something only people had in movies, but Hermione Gomez had it for real.

As the gentle man he is he walked over towards the door and pressed the doorbell. A few seconds later the sweet girl opened the door and gave him a beautiful smile. Fred felt his heart skip a beat when he saw looked into her eyes, and without even knowing it he smiled back at her.

Then he remembered he had to talk about Alice with her, even though he had promised to keep this a secret. He felt like he needed to tell someone who cared just as much about her. He couldn't tell FP, he would literally kill Hal and Alice would hate him forever if he told him that.

''Hey, before we go, can we talk for a second? It's kind of important.'' Hermione's face turned serious but she nodded and gestured for him to come inside. The hall was gigantic and he looked around him like he was a little child in a candy store. ''Wow.'' He whispered in himself.

Hermione didn't know what to say. She always had been afraid that people might see her as the spoiled rich girl, but the be honest she wasn't. She didn't have to think about money, but she always felt lonely in this house without any brothers or sisters. The only one she was really close to was her grandmother.

Since she was in a wheelchair the Gomez family took care of her so she lived permanently in their house, and Hermione was happier than before. At least she could really talk to someone. They ran into her on their way to the kitchen. ''Abuela, this is Fred Andrews. He is a friend of mine.'' She introduced him politely.

Fred shook the hand of her grandmother. ''Nice to meet you Mrs. Gomez.'' She just smiled to him and quickly scanned the boy. ''It's my pleasure. Don't be late for school darling. And drive safely.'' She was always worried about her granddaughter.

''I'll make sure she'll get to school safely.'' Fred assured her, so her grandmother smiled back at him. She liked him, he was a gentleman with manners. They walked past her until they sat down into the kitchen.

Hermione could read into his eyes that there was something serious. ''Is it about Alice?'' She asked carefully. Fred nodded and sighed. ''I promised I wouldn't tell anyone, so I feel awful for doing this. It's just too big to keep this to myself, you know?'' He said nervously. Fred never felt so quilty about breaking a promise, but if he wouldn't do anything things might get worse for her. He needed to set her free from Hal, but he needed someone to do that with.

''I'll swear to my grave that whatever the secret it, it's safe with me.'' Hermione assured him, which calmed him down a bit. He placed his hand on hers to give himself some comfort and both of them felt a little spark when that happened.

''Hal forced her to sleep with him when she didn't want to.'' He whispered sadly. Hermione's eyes grew big and she actually started to tear up by the idea that Alice had to go through that. ''Fred, that's sexual assault, if not rape.'' She said shockingly. Fred nodded as a response. He knew she was right but he didn't think Alice would ever call it that. She was way too proud for that.

''I know. I've never seen her that broken before, Hermione. Not even after fights with FP.'' Hermione knew that the fights between Alice and FP were heavy, but they never used physical or mental violence against each other and they never would. Hermione had always been there to comfort FP when things got out of hand and Fred did the same for Alice.
