After the weekend Monday came again, which of course the students of Riverdale High weren't too happy with. Alice closed her locker with a slam and let out a big yawn. Hermione grabbed the books she needed for her first and second period and looked at the girl with the long dark blonde curls next to her.

''Rough night?'' Hermione asked carefully, knowing that Alice could be snarky if she didn't had enough sleep. Instead of a mean comment Alice just nodded with her sleepy face. She looked more tired than she usually did, but it was probably because she went to some party, Hermione thought.

''It was. Can't wait to get home and take a nap.'' Alice chuckled lightly. Hermione laughed with her and shook her head. Typical thing for Alice to be exhausted at the beginning of the week. They walked over to their history class until Alice leant against the wall with her left hand.

''You okay?'' Hermione asked worriedly. She hold the free arm of her friend to give her some support. Alice took a deep breath and opened her eyes again. She immediately gave her friend a smile again, pretending like it was nothing. ''I'm fine. I think I just badly need my sleep.''

Hermione however always was worried about other people's well being so she wouldn't take that answer so quickly. ''You sure? Maybe you should go home and take that rest. I'll cover for you.'' She offered as sweet as she is. Alice shook her head and sighed. ''No, I can't skip another class or I'll fail this one. I can sleep when I'm home.''

Hermione just nodded and they entered the classroom where it was her job to keep Alice awake during the whole hour.

At the other side of school Fred and FP were busy with their football practise. Their coach had been firm on them but that was only to get them into perfect shape. It was hard for FP to focus on the practise and he wasn't good in hiding is frustrations.

He was trying to reach his personal record with sprinting but yet again he was taking it to far. It was probably his coping mechanism to try and escape everything that was happening in his life right now. His head was turning a dangerous shade of red and with the last energy he had in him he tried to reach the end of the line. His heart was pounding and his throat was dry but FP ignored every signal his body was giving him.

It wasn't a surprise when his body just gave up and collapsed right there on the gravel. Fred ran over to him in a hurry and knelt in front of his friend. ''Dude, you got to take it slow. You're killing yourself.'' He supported FP with his arms, trying to hold him up from the ground.

FP took Fred's water bottle and threw half of it over his face to cool down and drank the rest to get rid of the thirsty feeling he has been having for over thirty minutes now. ''I'm fine.'' He said out of breath. It didn't take a genius to know that none of that was true.

FP got up like nothing had happened. He had a hard time to stand up and not directly faint but he wasn't going to show that.  He saw by the look on his face that Fred didn't believe any of it.

''I said I'm fine Fred!'' FP yelled to his best friend. There formed a hurt look on Fred's face. He knew there was something more behind this but it was still hurtful that this was what he got from helping him. ''Leave it. Please.'' FP said a bit softer now. He turned away from Fred and walked over to the coach and the rest of the team.

''Couldn't you take it anymore, Jones?'' Hal scoffed when FP walked towards them. ''You still don't know when you take it too far.'' Hal laughed but that didn't last long before FP grabbed his shirt and lifted him up. ''Say that again, Cooper.'' The rest of the team knew they shouldn't mess with FP Jones so they didn't calm him down.

The coach grabbed both of the guys and ripped them apart. By the fire in their eyes it was obvious that both of them were ready to fight, but they kept their act together. ''Knock it off, right now!'' He looked at the two boys who were ready to eat each other's flesh. ''Keep your hands to yourself. We're a team. That means no fighting. Am I clear?''
