FP walked in front Fred and Hermione, who followed him towards the back of the Whyrm. It was almost 2am, to they were right on time. He wasn't scared, but he could see his friends were. He didn't even blame them. It wasn't if it was very safe to walk around the South Side past midnight.

He had actually asked them multiple times if they really wanted to go but none of them had backed out which he accepted. Secretly he was happy that he wasn't alone there. It wasn't if he was scared that easily, but with Alice being kidnapped he didn't know what to expect. If this could happen to her it could happen to anybody.

Hermione had grabbed both Fred and FP's hand which only confirmed how scared she was. Besides the fact that she was squeezing their hands her face didn't show a thing. She looked fierce and ready to fight but both guys weren't so sure if she was really ready for that. Not that they would let her. They would never let her join a fight and get hurt and besides that she would be in too much trouble with her parents.

''How long do we have to wait?'' Fred asked impatiently. FP loved Fred as his brother, but sometimes he was a typical northsider. He wasn't used on being out on the streets anytime later than midnight and he definitely never set place on the south side. Not that he judged the Serpents or anyone else who lived there because they wouldn't hurt him. That didn't mean he or anyone else was safe for the Ghoulies though. Fred tried to hide it, but it was obvious that he wasn't comfortable being on the south side right now.

FP just looked on his watch when somebody came out of the dark and spoke up. ''Long time no see, Jones.'' It just lasted a few seconds before there was enough light on her for them to recognize her. FP clenched his jaw. Of course it was her. He should have known from the beginning. He had thought about it, but since she had him already in his power so he didn't saw a reason for her to come after Alice.

''Looking for you precious girlfriend?'' Penny laughed amused. She pretended to think and then let out a fake gasp. ''Oh wait, she is with that northsider Hal Cooper, right? How could I forget.'' Fred felt Hermione tense in his embrace but he hold her back from following her instincts and clawing Penny's eyes out.

''Peabody.'' FP whispered angry. He couldn't look Fred and Hermione in the eyes now. It was just a conformation that the Serpents were bad for him and even worse for Alice. Even when she was out of there she was still held hostage by someone who used to be a friend once. It wasn't a secret that Penny always envied Alice because of her relationship with FP.

Before that she got attention enough from other guys even when her eyes only were fixed on the raven haired boy who admired her from a distance at the beginning. The moment her and FP got together was the moment when Penny and Alice stopped being friends. She started dating Marie, but both of them knew that deep down she still wanted to be with him.

So no, FP wasn't surprised Penny was taking it out on Alice. Maybe it was some childish revenge because he loved Alice and not her. She was way to amused by the fact that Alice was with Hal now. He knew Penny was happy about that but even now they were broken up she still wouldn't stand a chance with him. So instead of chasing him she took advantage of him and his secrets.

''You brought friends? For what exactly? Fight me? You know that if they touch me with one finger that Alice will pay the price for that.'' She directed her message to both Hermione and Fred by giving them a death glare. She wasn't scared of them, but she knew this was the way to scare them. They all must care a lot about Alice, otherwise they wouldn't be there in the middle of the night.

''This isn't about her, isn't it?'' FP scoffed. He knew that if she really wanted to do something to Alice she would have done it already. In that case she would have pulled of a fight in the Whyrm so everyone could see it, not kidnap her. It was about him otherwise she would have never send him that photo.
