chapter one- Juno's PoV

You are on your ship, the ss. Explorer. Your crew, consisting of yourself, Juno; your second in command, Vela; and a dog, Lupus, who has near-human intelligence.(he has a exo suit which has jump boosters, a adaptable gun port, a door-opening claw, and a translator. All connected to his mind.)
Your squad, Gemini Squad, is on patrol in the (insertnamehere) system. It is the home of the tribals, a furry race about half an average human's height. You are currently orbiting Goldwood (pronounced gooul-ould), which has the main settlement of tribals. You, Vela, and Lupus, are in the cockpit.
You are sitting in the middle of the room, drinking a cup of coffee, enjoying the view of Goldwood from the screen in front of you. Vela is over to the right of you, working on her personal console. Lupus is to the left/right/behind you, roving around doing... Something. All is fine and dandy, when, out of the blue, an emergency siren sounds, surprising you into dropping your half-full coffee cup. You jump up and rush to the front of the cockpit, where there is a situation console. On it, you realize the tribals sent the warning to you, Vela turns on the cameras in the main village. The sight horrifies you. The tribals are running around, screaming, from the bugs, which are chasing them and shooting them. As you watch, on of the tribals is shot, tumbles down, and has his head cut off. Veela breaks eye contact with the screen to puke in a basket to the side of it for that reason, you three head to the launch bay, with your respective ships. You let Lupus and Vela go first. You run after them, when the door to the left of you explodes! You are knocked back, stunned, when the invaders, the bugs, walk through the door. You quickly regain your senses, whip out you pistol, and start shooting. Before you know it, the first five are killed, and the sixth is wounded, when Vela says "Captain! Do you need my help?" You reply with " No, get planetside and help the tribals! " "  Yes sir! " she replies, while going to the elevator. You put the last big out of their misery, dump them out the airlock, and drive the Explorer into a hallowed asteroid. You then quickly go down the elevator, let the computer sync up with your bio-signeture, and teleported you to your ship, where you blast off to goldwood.
