"Roverie! will you please stop that music?! you repeated that for like a thousand times already!" I heard my sister from the room next to mine, yelling.

"Is it harming you?!" I shouted back.

There was a silence and I know exactly what will happen next.

The door of my room opened and a pair of slippers flew all the way to me. I hurriedly used my pillow to take cover.

I was able to survive but damn!

"MY LIGHTSTICK!"

I was expecting the slippers, but not that it will hit my astro lightstick!

Crazy sexy cool is playing on my speaker so I turned it off.

Leaning on my door frame, my sister laughed so hard and left me some teasingly look.

I didn't gave much attention to her because I was busy getting my lightstick were it turned into pieces.

"YAAAHH!!" I cried out loud.

I looked at my sister who's smirking.

"You need to pay for this!" I shouted.

"Why would I do that? If you let the slippers hit you, then it wouldn't broke that plastic lighting stick, whatever you call that thing" She rolled her eyes.

"As if I would let it hit me! Why would you throw your slippers to me?!" My lungs are gonna explode anytime now cause I am shouting everytime I answer her.

"As if you don't know me, right?" She winked and paid attention to her wrist watch.

"It's almost time for my favorite drama!" She smiled at me.

"Yah! be quite, and don't you ever let me hear those songs of your monkey boys, arasseo?!"

"They are not monkeys!"

She waved before closing the door.

I rolled my eyes and threw the slippers away.

Damn it! my lightstick!

I slapped my bed in frustration.

I grabbed the pieces of my lightsick and put it in the table.

My phone rings and I hurriedly answered it. It was a call (video call) from my Mom in the Philippines.

"MOMMY!" I cried.

[Why are you crying, Aubrey?]

"Ate Katie broke my lightstick and she wouldn't pay for it!" I yelled.

[Yah, don't shout okay? I'll pay for it. How much is that?] She asked.

"Ugh! come'on, Mom. She broke it, so she needs to pay it. Not you" I rolled my eyes.

[Fine, I'm gonna call your sister later. Anyways, how are you?]

"I was fine, until my lightstick broke"

Mommy smiled.

"Where's Daddy?" My forehead creased.

[Ah, he's still working. How was school?]

I raised my eyebrow. Why did she suddenly changed the topic?

"Mom?" I looked at her reluctantly.

She smiled. I can see pain in her eyes.

"What's wrong?"

[Well, we had a fight last night but it was just a small argument]

"Are you sure it's just a small fight?"
