It was already late night but someone’s still awake, restless and sad with how everything in her life’s falling apart.
For a moment, Nana was envious with how sparkly and bright the sky was even if it’s already dark. But then, she knew to herself she didn’t need so much light in her life.
If she’s the moon, she only needs one star in her life.
The star she has been waiting all her life to come.
But now that the star has come, why she still feels lonely? Why it doesn’t feel so bright inside her?
A tear escaped her right eye as she stare at the sky. She wiped it away before checking her phone. Jiyong’s still restricted but he has his ways to escape. Hinayaan na din ‘to ni YG dahil naging successful naman ang comeback nila at so far, wala pang ginagawang ingay si Jiyong na magpapa-sakit ng ulo n’ya.
But he’s not coming home. Ever since he was given his freedom back, he rarely comes home to her.
Nana thought that night was another night without her fiancé. She rose from her seat after recognizing the car.
With her rising heartbeat, she stepped down the stairs to open the gate.
Lumabas mula sa kotse si Jiyong, looking pissed and drunk at the same time.
“Oppa!” Nana hugged him as if her life depends on it.
Jiyong didn’t moved and the stench of alcohol quickly attacked her nose. She faced him.
“What happened? Are you drunk?”
He just stared at her before walking inside the house. She was excited and happy that he’s home. And also… a part of her was nervous.
She found Jiyong on the kitchen and pouring himself a glass of water. Kinuha n’ya ‘to at s’ya na ang nagsalin. Jiyong downed the water quietly and Nana was just staring at him for a while.
“Sure! Let’s sleep!” Nana enthusiastically followed him but he stopped.
Jiyong faced her. “I’ll work so don’t bother me,”
“What?” Nana’s face stretched in confusion. “I thought you’re going to sleep—“
“I’m not yet done with something,” Jiyong coldly responded before walking to the stairs. “I’ll be on my office.” And then she heard his door bang.
Nana felt her heart slowly beat. She didn’t know why… but it’s all falling apart. Everything just fell apart after Jiyong’s accident and she cannot understand what went wrong.
They were so happy and contented with each other.
So why… why it all changed so suddenly?
