“WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS?!” Kiyong angrily slammed the iPad on his father’s desk where an article’s displayed. It was the news scandal of him with the Prime Minister’s daughter, Lee Soo Yeon.
Il Yong didn’t even spared it a glance before looking at his raging son. “Why?”
“Why?!” Kiyong angrily spluttered. He was in disbelief. “I fucking followed all your bullshits in exchange of keeping Dara away from this! And you’re doing this to me?!”
“She’s not involved—“
“WHAT DO YOU THINK SHE’LL THINK AFTER SEEING THIS?!”
It was Il Yong’s turn to scoff. He comfortably leaned himself on his seat while watching his foolish son. “You can’t keep on playing with Sandara Park, Kiyong.”
“Playing?” Kiyong was disgusted. “You think I’m just playing?!” binato n’ya sa pader ang iPad at nakakabingi ang pagkabasag nito. “I’M DOING EVERYTHING YOU WANT! WHY WON’T YOU JUST LET ME GO!” he was in despair.
“You can’t run away anymore, Jang Kiyong,” Il Yong coldly shook his head. “You’re meant for the top, and you need to use Soo Yeon as an accessory, you understand?”
“Accessory?” Kiyong scowled. “You think people are just accessory, huh? Am I also an accessory for you?”
“Yes. And I’m also an accessory to you.”
“You’re sick!”
“May I remind you, son, that you’re no different from me,” a smile appeared on Il Yong’s lips. “You used this power you’re sick of to get something you want, right?”
“And now you’re making me turn my back from it? The very reason why I’m on your leash?” Kiyong fought back with a chuckle. “You moved your piece the wrong way.” He held his bandaged shoulder and turned away from his father who’s in a deep frown.
“You can’t leave,”
“Watch me.”
“You know what I’m capable of…”
“Shooting your own son?” natawa si Kiyong. “Yeah right. Just kill me.” he was close to the door when Il Yong spoke again.
“And what about Sandara Park, huh? How will you protect her if you’re dead?”
Natigilan si Kiyong at muling hinarap ang Ama. “You can’t use her forever on me,”
“If that’s what it takes for you to wake up,”
“I won’t let you destroy what we have.”
“Your engagement will be publicized tomorrow,”
Kiyong froze. “W-What?”
“Why prolong what’s meant to happen, anyway. With that we can spread our influence more and the Prime Minister’s also pushing it. Mahaba pa ang termino n’ya at kapag dumating ang araw na bababa na s’ya sa pwesto, you can divorce Soo Yeon and marry Chang’s daughter to strengthen our alliance in China.”
Kiyong was in disbelief that he keeps on laughing.
“You find this ridiculous now, but you’ll understand in the future, son.”
“I’m not marrying anyone aside from Dara,” he stormed out of the room and was immediately held by the guards to carry him to his room. “LET GO OF ME! I’LL WALK MYSELF!” galit n’yang hinawi ang mga ‘to at umakyat.
