maya sighed while parking the car on road 505 as jake said in the text, she put the car on park and kept it open for a while with the ac on.

tapping her foot on the floor of the car repetitively, she had a feeling that somehow jake stood her up with the pizza, if that's something.

she opened her phone for entertainment while waiting for the delivery guy, and honestly, she wasn't longing for the pizza as much as she was longing to talk to jake, as cliche as it sounds. but, no, she couldn't like her gay best friend, that would be weird, stupid, and impulsive.

while waiting in the car for a long time, texting the boy and actually longing for the food this time, maya spotted a motorcycle heading over to the curb she parked beside.

sticking her head out of the opened window, she yelled, "are you the delivery guy?" waiting for his response as he took off the helmet, confused.

"yeah, i guess?" he walked over with the box of pizza that looked larger than a small sized pizza should be.

maya stepped out of the car, with money in her hand, expecting that jake ordered her pizza until she paid for it.

as the delivery guy got closer, she began to see his features clearly and it shook her to the core.

he looked exactly like teenage joseph gordon-levitt, which surprised her, a doppelgänger at his finest.

"yeah, i know. i look like that actor." he chuckled, as he stood in front of her.

"delivery for.." the delivery boy looked at the receipt before replying, "finn wolfhard?"

"jesus, jake." maya thought that jake was trying to mess with her after she confessed her crush on finn wolfhard.

"i'll just, take that.. yeah.." she stammered nervously after being embarrassed, taking the pizza from him.

"weird thing, i was just about to watch the movie." maya said, raising her eyebrows as she leaned on her car.

"what movie?"

"ten things i hate about you." she chuckled, as she saw his facial expression as a response.

"oh, wow. the universe brought us together." he joked,

"do you want uh.. to go to the movies sometime? i heard there was this old theater down the street that plays old catches." he said.

"s-sure." she stuttered, biting her lip nervously while thinking to herself, why am i this weird? get your shit together, ruben.

"here.." he took out a pen from his pocket along with a tiny notebook that looked like the one waiters use for taking orders.

with the pen almost falling from his hands clumsily, he wrote down some stuff that maya couldn't see.

he tore the paper from the notebook, handing it over to the girl with a smile.

"i'll see you later." he grinned before walking back to his motorcycle.

as the girl sat in the car, trying to analyze what just happened, she saw the motorcycle slowly drifting away until she couldn't spot it anymore.

and the first person that came on her mind was jake.
