Would you believe me if I were to tell you that vampires live among us? Would you laugh and disregard the whole proposition?
Vampires are beings thought to be fictional, just in stories and fairytales. However, that is far far from the truth. Vampires are elegant and swift beings. Every movement would contain a hint of intricacy, but also lightness and elegance. But when stood still, they could be almost mistaken for a statue.

Jeon Jungkook was the average 18 year old boy, about to start his first year of university. Well, thats what he looked like on the outside, at least. In reality, he was very different to most. He was what some would call a monster. His mother was a vampire. Yes, she had fangs, pale skin and a strong thirst for blood. That was until she was slain by a merciless vampire hunter for the sole reason that she was different. This left Jungkook alone with his human father. Unfortunately for Jungkook, he had inherited all of his mothers traits as a vampire. This also caused him to have pale skin, fangs and also a strong thirst for human blood. Jungkook had learned to control his urges for sucking blood to an extent, but it was still extremely difficult for him. Every week he would go to the group of vampires that his mother once accompanied in hunting. He would go there and feed on their leftover kills. He always felt this stinging feeling of guilt in the pit of his stomach when he did it. But it was the only way for him to survive.

Unfortunately moving to university meant that he was away from them and would have to find food on his own.

He didn't like killing. He had done it a few times when his mother wanted to teach him how to hunt but the guilt was too much for him to handle. He therefore swore to never kill again. Not that that mattered. He obviously didn't live up to that.

Although vampires were always thought to be dangerous, blood thirsty creatures, most were far from that. The large majority lived among normal humans, masking their true identities. Most were harmless and fed off of donated blood or try to kill as little as possible. It wasn't easy to live as a vampire, there was only one option for food which was human blood. Human blood only. Any human food would cause them to be sick.

There was still a small portion who would group up and hunt together, giving food to younger vampires and vampires who didn't want to kill. They were hard to come by though.

Life was not easy like this. Just ask Jungkook yourself. He would know for sure, hes lived his whole life enduring the misery. Especially after his mother passed away. He had to figure everything out on his own. Create his own tactics of hiding the fact that he was different. It is common knowledge that vampires are immortal. Jungkook was young for a vampire, however he had already witnessed his father's passing due to old age. This was Jungkook's 30th time restarting his life. In order to not cause suspicion, he had to change his identity every 20-30 years and therefore he had practically lived over 30 lives in the human perspective.

Jungkook had finally arrived at the university campus. He would be staying here for the next 3 years. He had been to university once before but ended up dropping out as he became paranoid of accidentally revealing his identity. But this time he was prepared.
He walked towards the entrance to the dorms, his bag on his back and a black hoodie covering his face from the sun's hot, blaze. He had been given his room key earlier that day and was now finally going to move in to his dorm and meet his roommate.

He arrived to the 4th floor and made his way to his room, 409. He slowly opened the door and walked inside. There were two beds, one desk and a large floor length window letting in the sunlight. He quickly turned around, facing away from the light, trying terribly hard not to hiss. There was a blonde haired boy sat on the bed near the window staring at Jungkook with furrowed eyebrows. "Well... Im guessing you're my new roommate." He said in a judging tone, looking at the boy who was trying his best to stay away from the light coming through the window. He stared at him for what felt like years to Jungkook.
"Can you just shut the damn curtains already!" Jungkook yelled, he couldn't take it anymore, it was too painful. The light was quickly seeping through his black clothes, burning his cold, white skin. The blonde boy frowned and got up, closing the curtains, the room was now dark. Jungkook relaxed and took off his hood, "sorry about that...." He scratched the back of his neck from the awkwardness, "I'm Jungkook by the way."
The boy glared at him suspiciously, "Taehyung" he mumbled before going back to reading his book.
"Oh, nice to meet you, Taehyung," Jungkook said smiling. Taehyung just ignored him, still focused on his book.
Jungkook lay on the bed and huffed before having an argument within his mind to take out his anger 'why does that window even exist? It just caused me to act like a complete weirdo and embarrass myself!!!' Jungkook thought to himself, annoyed, before trying to go to sleep on the hard bed.
