My phone read 7:40 on the top of the screen, and Brennan was right on time. Like he said he always would be. I saw him walk up to the front door of my house through my bedroom window. His finger compressed against the doorbell button. I checked my reflection in the mirror one more time hoping he'd be impressed with how I looked. Cover-up, eyeliner, neon blue ripped skinny jeans, a band tee shirt, and my hair was up in pink tails. Probably not. But it's worth a shot. I opened up my front door. He smiled right at me looking cute wearing his green beanie that I always loved. " Hey, beautiful." He said still smiling. Beautiful? I was shocked that he had called me beautiful. Nobody else other than my mom has ever called me beautiful before in my life. "Hey, handsome." I said back. He laughed then grabbed my hand. His hand was so warm, and tender. I turned to say goodbye to my parents then turned back to him.

I hopped into his navy, blue Mustang and put my seatbelt on. He shifted gear and sped off to the movie theatre.

Screaming and bloody gore battles is what he finds "romantic." Apparently. Funny thing is, it was about vampires and zombies killing random people. Nice. But the scene of blood made me thirsty for it. I needed some. I try to keep my fangs from sliding out of my gums, but they were stronger than me. No, no, no, no! I thought to myself. "When I tell my friends I have to use the bathroom..." Brennan whispered in my ear," say that you will go with me. I have a surprise."

5 minutes later, he got up from his seat and said,"guys, I'm gonna' go use the bathroom. Be right back." I stood up right after he said that."I have to go too." I said. I looked over to check with him. He winked at me. Brennan walked me out of the theatre and which I thought he was going to the bathroom but he walked passed them. He pulled me into corner. I was so nervous that he was going to kiss me and that I would accidentally bite his lips with my fangs. He smiled right at me. Going in for a kiss, I pushed away from his face and his lips. "I- I can't." I said." I'm sorry, Brennan, I really am." I slipped passed him and began to walk away from him. "Jen...wait." He said in an unexpected calm, and soft voice. I stopped and turned toward him. "I love you." He began to tell me," you're beautiful, sweet, kind, generous. You bring a big smile to me and all of your friends-"

"I don't have any friends." I told him beginning to cry," I only have you. And you're the sweetest person I know. You're always there for me. And I love you too. But, I can't kiss you right now because..."
