I ran through a dark forest with the bright, full moon peeking through the trees. Something had been running behind me. Chasing me. I screamed then pushed to run faster. My feet hurt because I had no shoes on and I was stepping on out-of-the-ground roots;afraid of tripping and stumbling thinking that whatever was chasing me was going to eat me in less then a second split. "Jen..." I heard Brennan's whisper,"Jen come closer..."
"Brennan?!" I called,"where are you?"
"...In your heart..." He whispered. I quickly climbed up a tree and hung from a branch and watched as the monster sped passed me. It was black and I couldn't figure out what it was. But whatever it was, was gone. "Brennan?" I asked. "I'm still here." He said. I took a moment to catch my breath. "What was that?" I asked horrified. "Black shadow."He said," they're deadly, they're dangerous. It's Viper. Viper's his name." Once Brennan told me that, a flashback of Aryn picking me up in his dad's truck struck through my head. "Call me Viper." Aryn said.
I cupped my hand over my mouth and gasped. "No!" I screeched," Brennan!"
"What?!" He asked surprised. "Aryn!" I exclaimed," Aryn's Viper!"
"Ugh..." Grunted Brennan," this is going way too far."
I shot up from my bed and realized all of that had been a dream. A nightmare. Dawn peeked through the dull, yellow window curtains. Was that all true? I looked over at Brennan's bed. He wasn't laying there. Unless he turned invisible or something. I figured one of the nurses must have took him for tests or something so I just sat at the edge of the roll-out bed. That was the weirdest dream ever.
I waited for about 3 hours but there was no sign of Brennan. Finally deciding to get up from the bed, I walked out into the hallway. There were exactly 120 floors and only one floor I was on. There was no way for me to find him in any way. Whether it would be disturbing the wrong hospital room, or just not finding the floor he'd be on. So I pulled out my phone and decided to call the secretary office that was all the way down on the first floor.
Secretary: hello Angel Province Hospital. How may I help you?
Me: uhh...hey ummm... do you know where Brennan Worsnop would be?
Secretary: I'm sorry who?
Me: Brennan Worsnop. What floor would he be on?
Secretary: I don't know who you are referring to.
I heard the crinkles of paper in the back round for 20 seconds but then she finally spoke up.
Secretary: ohh, you mean the boy in the car crash?
Me: yeah.
Secretary: he should be on the 20th floor room 300 D. He should be in his hospital bed resting.
I began to feel scared.
Me: he's not there. I woke up and he was gone.
Secretary: well then, let me call his nurse and ask if she has him.
Me: okay. Thank you.
Secretary: you're welcome. Bye.
Me: bye.
