"You're free to go, ma'am." Said the guard sliding the bar doors open. I stood up from that broken bench I eventually became friends with. He lead me out to the main office of the police station. Without expecting anybody to be there to pick me up, I saw Brennan. He stood up from his seat and smiled wearing his football jersey and khaki shorts. I came right to him and hugged him tightly. I didn't care if I was mad at him. I only cared about still being there for him and him still being there for me. I felt his heart pound like a hammer to my cheek.

"I missed you..." He whispered taking his arms off of me. He placed both of his hands on mine and looked me in the eyes. I smiled and touched his bottom lip with my finger. "I missed you too." I whispered. We walked out of the building. He grabbed one of my hands and pulled me over to a corner. "My car is this way." He said but right when we turned for the corner, he pinned me against the brick wall, kissed my neck several times, then made his way up to my lips.

A moment later, he took his lips off of mine and just held me in his arms, hugging me. For 10 minutes, the side of my face was compressed against his soft tee shirt. I didn't want to let go of him.

I pulled the door handle to his Mustang and hopped in. He got in right before me and jabbed his key into the ignition. "Hey, could we talk, Brennan?"

"Sure." He said," what's up?" I looked down and started fiddling with my fingers. "Just how many people...did you...perhaps, bite?" He took a long sigh pulling out of the parking lot.

"Uhh..." He said," about 4,000. Why?"

"Within just a weak?!" I said shocked,"Brennan, I don't think you can handle being a 'vampire' very well. I don't. When you are a vampire, you have to control your thirst for blood. Or else you're gonna' cause trouble. Like you already did."

"Listen Jen, I'm sorry." He said," you're right. You are. I got a little carried away. I did. But now your dad is teaching me to get out of that bad habit."
