Chapter 17

Brennan hit the end button. Then I knew what I had to do. I have a car, I have the keys, I have legs; I could simply drive to where I thought he still lived. But then I realized he had gotten older since the past 5 years...obviously.

See most vampires don't age. But there's a rare species of vampires which are so-called "Bloodpires." They're just like humans except they love, LOVE blood more than anything. "Hey, Jasey?" I called," would you have any idea of where Aryn might live at the moment?" She bit her bottom lip and gazed at the dusty, wooden floor as if she was thinking.

I hopped into my car in the middle of the pouring rain. Pulling the piece of crumpled up piece of paper with Aryn's make-believe address on it, I plugged the key into the ignition, shifted, then put the peddle to the metal.

I was on a mission. I needed to talk to Brennan face-to-face about all this and get it all straight within my head. In about 5 minutes, I pulled into a long parking lot to a tall sky-scraper. 'Must be the place...

I quickly shut my door and rushed into the building before I got drenched. Room 48B the paper said. I prayed it was the right room. Knocking quickly and quietly, Aryn opened the door in plaid pajama bottoms and a t-shirt that says Pittsburg Steelers in a banner. "Is Brennan here?" He crossed his arms and leaned against the door frame. "He just left." Said Aryn. "Yeah, don't lie, honey." I said. He took his glass of water away away from his lips then bit his bottom lip looking down. I sighed and mocked his posture."Where's he at?"

"He said he was going back to his apartment." Said Aryn. I grabbed his arm and tugged his arm out of the apartment room. "Wait! Whoa! Where 'the fuck you takin' me?!"

"You're coming along." I hissed," I need to talk to you both. Now where's his apartment?"
