Tears dropped sadly from my eyes, dripping off my cheeks, landing on the shirt of the corpse of my beloved. I held her tight, as close as I could to my chest. My breath was heavy, from running here. But I was too late. When I found her, she was already dead. I could have done something, anything to save her! It was all my fucking fault!

Because I was so slow, I couldn't make it. I couldn't make it in time. It was all my fault. I was the one to blame. I am the leader of this company, I should've known better. I should've stayed with her, or let anyone stay with her. "Damnit!" I whispered angrily. "How can I be so stupid?!"

I sighed and wiped my tears. I looked in her open, dead and empty eyes. This was the last time that I could ever see that. I tilted up my hand and closed her eyes with a soft touch. I softly kissed her forehead. It was way too cold for a human body. She must've been dead for hours now.

I felt some raindrop from the night sky. I looked up and saw that it was starting to rain. I sighed and stood up, keeping her tightly in my arms.

Footsteps in the mud made me look behind my back. I saw my best mate walking my way. He breathed heavily. "We found some footsteps, but they're fading away." He said. I nodded, trying to ignore my tears. "Dolan is after him, she will call us when she knows something." I nodded once again.

"M-My condolences." He said while looking at her white face. I also looked at her. Even when she's dead, she is still beautiful as ever. Her dark, wet hair was glowing in the moonlight. Her cold, light blue lips slightly parted.

I swallowed my spit away and looked at my best mate again. "Let's go.. She deserves to get treated." He said and tried to take her from me. Probably because I was shot into my shoulder a couple of times. "Nobody is allowed to touch her." My voice was cold and harsh. I saw the famous of fear in his eyes. "And don't you dare telling me what to do. For your information, I'm still your leader, goddamnit."

He nodded and sighed. "Do you want to go, boss?" I remained silent, looking him straight into his eyes. "I guess that's a no.." He softly said. "Leave us alone," I told him. He nodded and walked away with hesitating steps.

The first moment he was gone, I broke down again. I fell down, letting her rest again against the mud. Her clothes were already full of dirt and wet from the rain. My tears were making it even worse, I could feel them dripping down my cheeks. They were burning on my cold skin.

I cried my eyes out until I was drained out of tears. This woman was my everything, it's a horrifying memory now. Losing the love of my life, my mate, my love, my hope, my world, my everything.

Now I lost her, I lost myself. She made me understand myself, my actions and my feelings. She made me the best leader I've ever could be. She is the best part of me, a part that I never thought I had. She made me myself, she made me Yarden
