The sound of the alarm from my clock woke me up. I opened up my eyes and slapped my hand on top of the clock. I sighed when the irritating beep stopped. I still don't know why I use this stupid thing.

I yawned and stood up out of my bed. "I can't believe today's here already. Why couldn't I sleep some more.." I mumbled to myself while getting dressed.

Someone knocked on my door. "Tariq? Are you awake yet?" The voice of my eldest homie, Jay, was easy to recognize. "Yes, yes I'm awake," I said with a crack in my voice.

"Good, the rest already is downstairs to get breakfast. Are you coming?" He asked again while opening the door. I nodded. "Just give me a sec," I told him. He nods and walks downstairs while whistling one of the songs we covered.

I sighed. Jay Liu, our eldest bandmate. He's the happiest and the sunshine of our group. He always takes care of us like he's our elder brother. Jay always shows us that he cares about us, unlike me though.

Our group is made of Jay, two others and me. We're a dance group, 4U. As our names said, we're here four you to make you happy. We want to let them see anything is possible. Especially when our dances are made out of freerunning, stunts and other kinds of dances. Jimmy even did a ballet solo.

I walked downstairs when I was done with brushing my hair. It's always a mess when I'm getting up. With tired eyes I found myself sitting down at the table. Jay gave me some bread and cheese. "Here, eat something." I shook my head and just grabbed a cup of coffee. "Not today bro," I told him.

I stood up again and sat on the sofa. "Something wrong?" Jay asked while I turned on the TV. "Nah, I just had a shitty dream. That's all." I sighed and watched the news. Jimmy came and sat down next to me with a cup of tea. He patted my shoulder. "It's okay," He told me. "I'm here for you if you want to talk." I nodded and avoided his eyes.

I took another sip of the black liquid while I was watching TV. The presenter of the news looked pretty serious. He explained that there has been another incident in New York City. One in Brooklyn this time. It looked the same as the two other murders that happened in Manhattan city.

Suddenly, someone at the door rang the doorbell. I sighed. "Really?" I asked myself. Jay was already walking to the door. "If it's another fan I'll kill him or her." Yamai came from the hallway while ignoring the doorbell. His eyes were tired and he was walking around like a zombie. "It's way too early for this shit..." He mumbled.

"Officer, what's wrong?" Jay's voice was hearable from the hallway. I almost puked out my coffee and placed my cup at the table. I walked towards Jay, who was kind of staring at two officers. "I friendly ask you all four to come along to the manager's office." One of them said politely. Jay nodded. "Please just give us a moment, officers."

The other one shook his head. "We've to come inside then. Just please leave immediately." His words were rushing but he talked calm and polite. I nodded. "Guys! Grab your jackets and your shoes, we're going to the police station." I yelled through the house to grab everyone's attention.

"What?!" Jimmy immediately yelled back in fear. "Calm down, I don't think we're getting arrested," Yamai said louder than he should. "We didn't do anything wrong so they don't have any reason," I said in agreement.

Jay nodded while turning back to the officers. "Are you going to get inside, officers?" He asked. They both nodded and got inside. I walked back to the table and drank the last bit of my coffee.

I yawned loudly and looked at Jay. "Are we ready?" Jay chuckled and shook his head. He pointed at my bare chest. I was only wearing an open vest. "I'll grab a shirt..." I said slowly and ran upstairs. One of the officers wanted to protest but Jay held up his hands. "I'm sure he wouldn't-" I heard Jay tell them before I got into my room.

I grabbed my phone and quickly pressed in the numbers of our manager's number. "Tariq? What do you need this early in the morning?" I heard the soft female voice, it sounded irritated. "Officers are here to arrest us. Do you have any information about that?" I asked hesitantly.

"What? No! Nobody has told me anything about that, don't go with them. It could be a trap!" The panic was slightly hearable in her voice. "Calm down Sharay, they won't be doing anything as long as I'm here." I grabbed a shirt and switched it on. "I will do anything to protect my family."

"Tariq Cote. Don't you fucking dare to fight them!" I chuckled. "Don't be like that, I meant that I'd bail them out if I had to. I'm sure Yamai would be the first to murder someone." I heard her sighing. I'm sure she's slapping her head like an idiot right now.

"Are they still here right now?" She asked. "Yes, they want to take us to the office right now. But I'll ask for their badges at first. I know the difference between real ones and fake ones." "Fine." She said. "But be careful and call me when you can."

"Will do Sharay. Don't worry. Bye." "Bye." I closed my eyes for a little bit and placed a tracker in my sock. They won't find it there. And if so, Sharay knows where I am. I ran downstairs with my phone still in my hand.

"Okay, I'm ready," I told them. The officers nodded and wanted to take me to their cars, the rest already took a seat. I held my hands up to them. "I want to see your badges. Both of them. Otherwise, I won't go with you." The male officer rolled his eyes and grabbed his badge while the female officer immediately grabbed her badge without protest.

I looked at both of them, they were real. This is real. Their badges were both the same, officer Smith and Condor. I switched their badges and gave them back. They didn't even notice I gave back the wrong ones. I don't like the real cops, the fake ones are to play with.

They lead me to their cars and I took a seat in the car Jimmy was in. "I can't believe this is happening."
