"What are your skills? I heard you're 18 when you're finally done training. But you're 19 and already in the top rank?" I asked. "When I was being trained since my 12th, my father asked me to help in his lab. I learned so much that my brain function has been 'levelled up'. So I graduated on my 16th. I've been trained for spying now, not to lead a war like the rest." She explained. I nodded and listened closely as she continued.
"So I've been working in my dads laboratory. I've been inventing new weapons and body-gear while my dad has been focussing on the human brain. And I'd like to talk to birds in my free time. I don't have a boyfriend or something to grab my attention so I'm good with my birds." I chuckled and smiled at her. "Your smile. It's nice." She suddenly said. I looked at her and laughed. "Thanks, I guess."
"When you don't smile you're just like... 'Eh?'" She made a weird depressed face and I laughed again. "See! It's something like a sudden smile, like sudden paradise or eh... I'll stop." "No, it's fine," I said while laughing. "It's funny." "Are you seriously laughing at me? How dare you?" She laughed and softly punched my arm. I like her. She's nice.
Her brown hair was short and her eyes dark and she clearly likes making weird faces. "Any further questions?" She asked. "Do you have any questions of me?" I asked. She laughed. "Well, yes," "Hit me," I said. She actually slapped the back of my head. "I meant hit me with your question, not your hand!" I almost yelled. "You didn't say that." She chuckled. "You're lucky I ain't hitting pretty women." She chuckled again and looked at me.
I smiled again and she finally hit me with her questions. "I've seen your files, I know what your name is, Tariq Cote. And how old you are, 17. And I know where you lived, where you moved to and what you did in your whole life. But, my question: can you teach me some of your dances?" "Creep," I laughed. "But yes, I can teach you some dances. Want to do it right now?" She instantly nodded. "Yes, yes, yes!" I laughed.
"Give me your phone," I said. She looked at me in confusion. "Then I can put on the mixtape from Jimmy on YouTube. Then I can show you one of our performances." I explained. "Ah," She gave me her unlocked phone and I searched up one of his main songs while talking. "Jimmy and Yamai are the only ones who can actually sing or rap. They're amazing. I doubt I can sing or rap as good as those two. Jimmy is an amazing vocalist and Yamai an amazing rapper and songwriter."
I put on one of the songs of Jimmy which started with a backflip plus front flip. I did them both in the room and started dancing. The jeans I wore weren't bothering me, we perform in jeans a lot anyways. When I was done, I panted a bit but didn't sweat. "Wow!" She laughed and clapped. "I never seen one of your performances." "It's better when Jimmy is around. When we both are dancing it gets more magic because we literally run into each other." I said. She nodded. "I trust you on that one."
Adelyn Dolan smiled at me. "I want to learn that one. I will try to get some time free while you're training with Mekayla. You can teach me how to dance in one of the studio's." She said. "Are there studios?" I asked shocked. "Of course, I thought Jimmy would tell you since he danced till late hours." I shook my head. "Nope."
"Well, I'll show you later. I'll help you sneak out to your girlfriend too by the way." She said. I blinked my eyes in shock. "Ehm, sorry. What?" I asked. "Miss Evans. I thought you guys had something." "No! We're just friends!" I refused and laughed at her. "She was a classmate of mine. Yshbel is pretty nice but so small and way too childish. We weren't friends though." "But I am friends with her and nothing more. She's not my type." We both laughed.
"What's so funny about it though?" She asked. "I... I have no idea. Thanks for the clothes I'll go upstairs now to make sure I'm not late." I laughed nervously and walked out of my room and got upstairs. "Right on time," Thompson said. I saw him sitting on the sofa watching the news. I sat down on a chair and looked at him. "For what?" "TV, you're on TV."
My eyes immediately fell on the TV. "Yesterday night was the last performance in Brooklyn but the boys from 4U did not show up. Their manager said they've been missing for more then 48 hours now. With all these murders in the city is the chance big that they've been the next victims. I'm at the apartment of these young boys now with officer McLaren. Officer, do you want to share any information about this missing case?" I gulped and leaned forward to not miss anything.
"Yes, of course. We have been searching for any clues according to their disappearance. We have found no traces of them, their cars are still parked here and their phones are still in their houses. It's like they vanished in their own house. We broke into the place and there is still nothing to find. Only some broken things like a vase and photo's and broken glass. If people have been here at the date of the missing around 7AM to 7PM, please report yourself to the police immediately. Thank you." The officer walked away and they talked more about it.
"Are you serious?" I asked Thompson. "Yes. I made sure there aren't any traces left of you. We will see if you are ready to get back to the civilisation after this mission." He said. "We don't know how you guys will do it into the Special Force."
