There he was, standing in the corner of the room. His black eyes staring at me. I shivered. "I'm so sorry..." I tried. He shook his head as he pulled out a gun and pointed it on me. "No! Please don't!" I yelled and begged for the man to keep me alive but it was no use. I heard gunshots and everything went black.
Suddenly I woke up, gasping for air while sweating like crazy. The door went open and Adelyn Dolan ran to me and sat down near my bed and pulled me in a hug again. "I heard you scream again, did you have another nightmare?" She asked. I just nodded as I leaned my head on her shoulder.
A week has been passed by since that day. I have my memory back now, but it brought the terrors of the murders back in my mind too. It was like it all happened yesterday, or a couple of days ago. Ever since I got my memory back I wasn't been able to sleep, and if I did fell asleep, I had nightmares that I got killed the way they did. I never knew I was scared to die.
After a while, Adelyn Dolan got up to leave my room as always, but I grabbed her hand and stopped her. "Sleep here with me," I said. "Please..." She nodded and lied next to me in bed and held my hand like I was a small kid. "Don't worry. It's fine. I forgave you but you need to forgive yourself too. It may be horrible but you've changed already." I nodded as I held her hand. I was desperate to get a night sleep.
I didn't care about the fact I only wore my boxer shorts. She has seen more shirtless men in her life. I closed my eyes again as I held her hand tight. Darkness took over again and I slipped asleep again.
"Hey pretty boy, wake up." I yawned and slowly opened my eyes. Adelyn Dolan was next to me, smiling. "No nightmares tonight?" Then I remembered what happened. How she lied there with me. "Ehm, no. No nightmares. Thanks." I said a bit shy.
Adelyn Dolan giggles softly as she got out of my bed and stretches herself out. "Come on. Training starts today for you since you've got a good night sleep for once." She said. I nodded while mumbling. "I need to get stronger." "Did you say something?" Adelyn Dolan looked at me with a curious look. I shook my head as an answer and got out of my bed into the boring white clothes I've got in my room.
Adelyn Dolan giggles again before walking out. I'm glad she always wears a normal pyjama. Jimmy just entered my room a second after she left. "What the fuck did she do in your room at night?!" He asked. "Nothing dude. I had a damn nightmare again and I was acting like a baby so she slept with me and held my hand. Oh god, I am so embarrassed!" I rambled to him. Jimmy sighed and hugged me. "Don't worry. It'll get better. I promise."
I sighed deeply and hugged him back. "I'm joining you with training today," I said. "I slept well with Adelyn watching over me." Jimmy nodded. "Alright, but keep going slow okay? Be careful." "It's been a week and I'm able to walk just fine now. So don't worry." Jimmy chuckled as he messes up my hair. "Hey!" I yelled in surprise. Jimmy just laughed and walked off. I smiled as I fixed my hair.
When I was done, my feet brought me slowly upstairs and I grabbed an apple for breakfast. "You need to eat more than that if you're joining us with training." Jay's voice behind me didn't scare me at all. I didn't know he was there but I expected it. "I will eat something more later. I'm not hungry at this moment."
"Did you sleep well?" Jay asked. I nodded. "Adelyn Dolan got into bed with me at midnight when a nightmare bothered me but after she stayed I felt safer and didn't have them anymore for the rest of the night," I explained. Jay nodded. "Good for you." I yawned and grabbed a cup of coffee after I finished my apple.
"Good morning." Adelyn Dolan got upstairs and grabbed a bowl of strawberries to eat. "Are you guys ready yet? Thompson will be here in five minutes." I nodded and took the last sip of coffee. "I'm ready." "Nice!" Adelyn Dolan said happily.
Adelyn Dolan and I got very close lately. She's now a good friend of mine and the rest of the guys. She trusts us more, she even let us alone in the house for a couple of hours with no-one to watch us. I'm glad she trusts us now. That way I also know I can trust her as well.
The door swung open and Thompson arrived. "Ready?" He asked. Yamai and Jimmy had already entered the room to eat breakfast. "We are." Adelyn Dolan said. I nodded in agreement. "So, you're joining us today, Tariq?" Thompson asked and got closer to me. "Yes, I am. I slept well today and have a lot of energy to spend." I said, trying to ignore the fact that he was very close to me. "Good," He said. "Let's go."
He walked out of the door and Adelyn Dolan waved everyone out and got outside herself too. "We're visiting the cells first," Thompson said. "I want to show you something now you're all four on your feet." He said.
I sighed. He's probably going to show us what will happen if we're breaking the laws again. I'm just glad our babysitter just decided to stop. "You're not going to be locked up." Adelyn Dolan said, in an attempt to cheer me up. I waved it off as I followed him.
