EYE OF THE BEHOLDER

Like a raven
Is the night
Is my heart
Like a rose?

Broken
Bleeding
Red blossoms
Pale horizons

In the distance
The sun sets
Throws dark colours
Through bright shadows

Eyes focus
See the setting
Of the world
Of life

We live
They die
Hearts break
Time flees

Feathered wings
Hollow bones
Wind soaring
Ground rushes past

Time is fleeting
Heart is beating
Sweat is pouring
Breath is quickening

Look ahead
A future uncertain
Look behind
A past far away

Uneasy emotions
Questionable thoughts
Undeniable actions
Questionable motives

Dance moves
To the noise
To the vibrations
Posed before it

Body vibrates
Body slithers
They call it beauty
It's all in the eye of the beholder
