THE AMUSEMENT PARK

Lights swirl
Children laugh and scream
Balloons rise up and greet the sun

Cotton candy
Hot dogs
Upset stomachs

Spinning tops
Carnival music
Air filled with a menagerie of sounds

Carousel goes 'round
Horses go up and down
Parents laugh at childlike smiles

Bees at colourful flowers
Air is fresh with summer breezes
Bright yellows and blues adorn the bodies

But, alas, as everything must
Pleasant summer days shall pass
And cold winter storms shall
Replace the summer days of 'ole
