We all sit at the dinner table, awkwardly sipping on soup from cans. Grey and I sit side by side.

"So - Beau and Willow, you're together." Grey said laughing. Willow smiled and Beau laughed.

"Yeah, I guess." He said.

"And Nolan and Bennett?"

"Yep." I said. "So I was right." I added bumping him with my shoulder.

"Yes you were right." He admitted. "I guess we are just waiting for Parker and Zara, Finn and Nikki to get together."

"What about me?" Lincoln said.

"You're mine, you don't get to be loved." I said laughing. Ever since the night where everyone got drunk and started screaming horrid things about Grey, Lincoln and I had gotten closer. I thought he was a dick - but he's actually so sweet. Lincoln laughed at my comment which made me smile. He had a laugh that makes you laugh - but not in a bad way. I would call him my best friends; he is definitely up there with Beau and Willow.

"Moving on - guys I have something serious I think we need to talk about." Parker said.

"Shoot." Beau said throwing his arm around Willow's shoulder.

"Honestly, I think some of us are dragging each other down." He says.

"Huh?" Willow asks.

"Well, we have army men," he pointed to Beau, "trackers," he pointed to Nolan, "policemen in training," he pointed to Lincoln. I didn't know Lincoln was training to be a police man. "A doctor." He pointed to Finn. "Like, I'll even admit I'm not pulling my own weight here."

"What are you suggesting?" Nikki leaned forward.

"I'm suggesting we leave this house and get experience. I could easily tell you who in this group I would trust with my life and who I wouldn't if the shit hit the fan." He said.

"So you're saying that we leave this safe house, and enter the world of Lurkers where at any moment we can get killed just so we can have experience?" Bennett asked.

"That's exactly what I was saying." Parker said staring at her.

"That won't work parker." Willow said.

"I agree. You've taken 1 too many crazy pills."

"All the inexperienced people will get killed off and all you pro's will stay alive."

"I think it's brilliant." Grey interrupted.

"What?"

"Yeah, What?" I repeated what Bennett had said. I looked at him and he gave me his half smile that he knows gets me every time.

"It's the survival of the fittest." He said.

"You're not making your case." I said raising my eyebrows.

"Well let's say we get raided. It's happened before and it can happen again. Last time you nearly died. I say we travel a lot, not stopping. Go somewhere, learn some new skills, and move on. Go to an empty field, do some gun practise, move on. It's smart, it's simple." He said facing my way so he was convincing me and me only. I guess he only really cared if I sided with him.

"How would we do it?" I ask. He stared at me for a while before he widened his eyes and looked around.

"An R.V." he said.

"An R.V." Parker repeated smiling. "That's perfect!" He added.

"An R.V? Are you serious? You expect me to live in an R.V?" Bennett asked.

"It's genius." I whispered. Grey looked at me and smiled wide. "You're genius."

"I think it's a good plan." Willow said smiling slightly. "It will be like a road trip."

"That would be pretty awesome." Lincoln said smiling at me.

"I think -" Knock knock knock. Nikki was interrupted by the sound of 3 knocks on the front door. We all looked around, except Grey, he looked straight at me. I stood up but Grey grabbed my arm.

"Who's going to get it?" Willow said.

"I will." I volunteered.

"No way." Grey said.

"What's going on?" Lincoln asked.

"Beau get the door." Grey said not letting go of my arm. I stared hard at him, hoping he realises my mental state right now. I hear Lincoln undoing the locks, but I refuse to look into the lounge room and see who it is. The door swings open.

"Hello?" I hear Lincoln say. I am still staring at Grey's face, and he stares back at mine, not blinking.

"I'm Abby -Grey told me I could come here, is he here?" I feel Grey's grip loosen and I close my eyes as my heart sank. She's here; in my house.

"Yeah, he's just in the dining room." Lincoln said. I prepare myself to see her for the first time. Is she pretty? Prettier than me? Not that that's hard, I have photo's all over this house to prove it. Grey swooped pretty low choosing me. As the footsteps get louder, I look over and see Lincoln enter the room, following after him a tall, thin, luscious red head. My mouths drops open as I see a girl - the opposite of me walk in. Her hair is short and in perfect ringlets. She has juicy red Spanish type lips and her green eyes stand out nearly as much as her fire red hair. She has slight freckles under her eyes, but not much. She looks around and her eyes land on Grey just as her drops his hand off my arm. Her skin is pale and blemish less, and I am in instant envy of her clear face. She doesn't have one bump or pimple.

"Grey." She smiles, even her teeth are perfect and straight.

"Abby." He says, half smiling. Willow looks at me awkwardly and I look at her, hoping my sadness doesn't show through.
