"Lili! listen to me!"  I shout at her. "no you listen to me Cole" 
" I am!" I say back
" I can't do this." 
" Why? cause of our distance cause I have college!" 
" You don't even call me" 
" I do every single night. we talk till my phone dies around 3 am"
"Liar!" 
" ha. y/n's so much more understanding" 
" Yes I was just about to go to that bitch," She says harshly.
" Don't call her that"
" Why are you fucking her now?"

I was already pissed. now she brings my best friend into this. Honestly, I couldn't take it anymore. She was a pathological liar. She's the one's whose cheating.

" Don't bring y/n into this" 
" I can do whatever I want" She snaps.
" You know what. This is over."
"Are you breaking up with me?!"
"Yes." 
"You're gonna regret this all your life Cole"

y/n's pov

Cole and I have been best friends since high school. When we found out we were going to the same college we were so happy. We became roommates. Cole started dating Lili 2 years ago she lived in lincoln as we did. When she found he was moving to new york she was mad but he convinced her they would make long-distance work. So they continued to date. It was hard going around public with Cole since was like really famous

 I was on my bed trying to finish an assignment but with all the noise I couldn't concentrate. I tried to listen to what was happening. They were fighting. oh no. I heard my name being thrown around. And I flinched when I heard the front door open and vigourously close. after that, I hear silence. I wait a few more minutes before getting up and going to cole's room. "Cole?" I say in a slight whisper. I don't get a reply. I slowly push the door open. The room's dark. I squint my eyes to see. I feel for the light switch, I turn on the light. I see Cole sitting at the edge of the bed. Both of his hands on his face. His breathing is heavy. "Go away y/n. I'm not in the mood to play UNO with you" He says breathily.
"I didn't want to play UNO." I giggle involuntarily.
"Then why are you here"
"Cause I live here and I heard You guys fighting"
" I don't wanna talk go away!" 
"No! You're sad and I need to help you" 
"I don't need help! Go away!"
"Please...." I say. I sit down next to him. I try and touch his hand but he pulls it away. 
"You caused this fight between us."
"what? me?"
"Yes. I wish you never existed. Or I had never met you!"
"You don't mean that... do you?" I say softly

I feel really sad for him.

"No, I didn't sorry it just came out of my mouth" he calms down a bit
"It's okay." I hug him tightly. I feel a tear drop on my thigh. I look at him. I stroke his cheek softly. He looks at me and he smiles. 

"Okay tell me what caused the fight?" 
"She was being a bitch about the distance and stuff. and she thought I liked you" he says.
"What! that bitch had lying issues. I- I mean you would never like me. " 
"She may be right about it though," he says his eyes glued on me.
"haha very funny"
He looks at me with a blank expression.

"I'm serious y/n" he's blushing. then I'm blushing. 
"Cole I don't want to be a rebound"
" That's the thing you're not"
"...."

he continues. "I've liked you since high-school. But when we became such good friends I just didn't want to tell you. I didn't want to disappoint you."
"You could never disappoint me"  I ruffle his hair.
" I like you Y/n. I would kiss you right now if only you liked me back."
"Then why don't you do it?" I don't where this sudden confidence came from. Then he's kissing me, and I'm kissing him back. I love every moment of it. He pulls apart and we lean foreheads. 

" Go on a date with me?" He asks.
"Slow down tiger. give it a minute." Then we're kissing again and laughing. This is how my first love story started.
