*For me, this song lyrics itself, perfectly describe the days Chaeyoung had to pass without Jungkook by her side*

Day6 - Still

If you asked her how was she doing, then she'd say she was fine. At least that was the thing she thought would comfort her and most importantly made everyone less worried about her.

"I'm fine." The corner of her lips curved upward into a little smile. She then turned herself back to her computer and plunged herself back into her work.

While her co-workers seemed to regret their decision to ask about Jungkook to her.

After work, Chaeyoung and her co-workers decided to hang out at their regular samgyeopsal place. Her co-workers thought maybe they could help her to cheer up a little bit and distracted her from her sorrow for a while.

Did it work for her? Well, for this moment, it was sort of. It did put a smile on her face seeing Jin Young and Yuju bickered about little things, and also when they exchanged humiliating experience in the office gathering long ago.

But that didn't last for long when they walked down the road to the nearest bus stop. The same road where she accidentally met Jungkook after they celebrated their success on the product launch and Yuju's love life.

Her step halted as the memories when Jungkook stopped a cab and shoved her co-workers inside, and when he scooped her up to take her drunk-self home played like a movie inside her head.

She chuckled bitterly. Why did she kept thinking about him when it only brought her nothing but sorrow and pain? She should stop torturing herself like this and tried to live her life happily just like what Junhoe wanted for her. If Jungkook couldn't be a part of it now, then she should learned to let it be.

When Mrs. Jeon got back from San Francisco, Chaeyoung did asked her how was Jungkook doing in the therapy so far, and the answer was he did fine in his therapy session. She thanked God for what she heard.

But when she asked her about when will he contact her? Or can she at least hear his voice? Mrs. Jeon couldn't get her the answer she wanted. She only said it was for Jungkook to decide. And until now, almost a month from his departure to San Francisco, she hasn't heard anything from him. No calls and no text back.

So, she began to banish him from her mind little by little just for her own sake, because to think about him itself hurted her so much. And she had reached the point where she couldn't bear the pain of losing anymore. Even though she wasn't sure how long it would last for her to not to think about him.

"Chaeyoung-ah, let's go, the bus is coming!" Yuju called for her who was still standing there, trying to dissipate the thought about him from her mind.

"Ah, wait!" Chaeyoung quickly ran to her co-workers and left the memory behind.

Time had passed, and Chaeyoung thought she was doing just fine. So far, she managed not to drown herself in sorrow and started to accept that Jungkook might not keep his promise to her.
