Feelings:

"Because I like it just being you and me."  These words seemed to echo in Damon's ears, and make his heartbeat so loudly that he could hear it; he could hear (Y/n)'s too, and it was just like his. He had wanted to hear something like this for a long time, and now, it was finally happening. "You know something?" He said, as his face got closer to (Y/n)'s, and he subconsciously moved a strand of hair behind her ear; as he did it, he half expected her to protest, but to his surprise, she didn't. "I like it being me and you too." She smiled at him as he replied. He looked into her eyes, they were a deep blue, the colour of sapphire, but he knew that behind them was a lot of pain; things that she shouldn't have been exposed to, and things she shouldn't have been involved in.

Damon wanted to change that, he wanted to show her the most wonderful things possible, things that she couldn't imagine, but at the same time change her perspective on life. He couldn't help but think that due to everything, she had thought about giving up, or was even ready to give up; he wanted to change that too. He wanted her to stick around, and even be a part of his life. It had been a long time since someone like (Y/n) had come along, and Damon wasn't willing to let her slip away. He knew that it was selfish of him, of course he did, but he also knew that he was incredibly lucky to have someone like (Y/n). And if he could, he would take her around the world, and show her everything that she'd been missing, being confined with that awful family of hers, in that awful town her entire life.

Besides, they came together for a reason; he firmly believed this. Damon's placed one hand delicately on (Y/n)'s cheek, and gently pulled her closer to him. She didn't protest to this either; if anything, she moved herself closer to Damon. He felt the energy between them increase as he looked her lips before looking back up into her eyes. They were just seconds away from kissing one another when Damon heard the bedroom door fly open. They both looked startled to see Stefan lurking in the doorway once more. "Stefan, there are 6 other bedrooms in this house; go find one." Damon said irritated, but Stefan just stared at the two of them."What the hell do you want?" Damon demanded an answer from Stefan. "Sorry to interrupt lovebirds, but I need to speak to you Damon." He said, calmly whilst he smiled at the pair of them as they remained sat together on the bed. "Can't it wait?" Damon asked sighing.

"Not really," Stefan admitted as he folded his arms. Damon slowly rose from the bed, and giving (Y/n) and apologetic smile as he followed Stefan out of the room.

(Y/n) collapsed onto the bed as Damon closed the door behind him. She ran her fingers through her hair, biting her lip as she relived the past few moments. As she did so, images of Damon popped into her mind. Although, she couldn't help but feel annoyed at Stefan for interrupting. She knew that he'd done it on purpose. The energy that was left over from her moment with Damon, was continuing to course through her body, like the adrenaline of someone about to go on a roller coaster, just magnified ten times. With Damon, (Y/n) felt alive. She knew that this was a strange thing, seeing as she'd only just met him, but there was something about him, something that she couldn't put her finger on; all she knew was that it was something that made him special, and unique; unlike anyone, she'd ever met. She felt selfish that she wanted Stefan gone, and to be alone with Damon once more, seeing as he was Damon's brother. Okay, they didn't see eye to eye, but it was no excuse to want rid of someone; expect Stefan maybe. In that moment with Damon, (Y/n) had felt more alive than she'd ever have before. She even felt happy, like genuinely happy for the first time in a long time. She had no idea how Damon did it, but she was grateful that he had.
