"Can we go to the beach now?" I whined to the gang, I'd been asking for around a hour. Soda looked up at the clock.
"Yep." He told me. I jumped up.
"Let's get going then!" I squealed.
It was 3pm and it was still warm. I ran out the house and leaped over the fence. The beach was just down the road so it didn't take long to run there.
I stopped when I saw the beach. The sea was bright blue and the sand was almost white. Near the water there was a massive love heart, which I could see from the top of the stairs leading down to the beach. In the love heart there were two names. Mine and Dally's names. What was going on? Dally wouldn't think of anything like this. Maybe that's why Johnny and Payton went with him.
I walked slowly down the stairs. Each step I took another millimetre of smile crept onto my face. The closer I got the heart I saw that it was outlined in roses {really cringy and cliché I know}. "Dally, what on earth is this?" I called.
"Come here baby!" He yelled back. I started running towards him, which is a lot harder than I thought on sand.
"What?" I asked breathlessly as I reached him.
"Well." He said nervously.
"Just say it, Dal. What's there to worry about?" I laughed.
"I love you so much and I want to show you how much I do. I've seen you in jeans with no makeup on. I've stood there in awe as your date for the prom. I need to be with you for ever...." Dally got down on one knee. "Asha, will you marry me?"
"What?" I mouthed.
"You heard me." He smiled.
"Yes!" I screamed.
"What?" He whispered.
"Yes!" I screamed again. He picked me up and spun me around. "I love you Dally." I said kissing him as he put me down.
"I love you too." He said as he slipped the ring onto my finger.
"Where did you get the ring from?" I asked holding onto his hand.
"It was my mums. I kept it before she left." He told me.
"That's so sweet." I smiled.
"I know." He laughed.

"So what did Dal want." Soda asked, smiling, as we walked in. I smiled back, knowing he knew, and held up my finger.
"Oh my god!" Emmalie cried running up to me, she obviously didn't know. "That's amazing!" She hugged me and whispered in my ear, "Congrats." I laughed and smiled at her.
"When will it be?" Grace asked.
"He's only just proposed to me. That's a bit quick." I laughed.
"Never too soon." Dally whispered as he walked passed me.
