Lmao you know how this goes by now.
TW- minor PTSD panic attack
- 3rd person POV for now -
The gang had gone directly to the mall after school. Everyone seemed to think it was a great idea, except for Rich. He really disliked going to the mall, it wasn't really his thing. Not to mention the Payless where squips were sold was there. He only agreed to go so he could spend time with his friends. The group walked through the mall to get to the food court. They were all pretty hungry and wanted to get a bunch of free samples. They all split up, going around to different stands to get some. Then they found a table and started to talk. They all were talking about stuff they like, ex: video games, tv shows, movies, so Rich started to talk about what he liked. "So there's this book I LOVE about-" he started but Jenna cut him off. "Hold up Rich. I never took you as a bookworm." She said kind of judgmentally. "Well I used to read all the time but my squip told me reading was 'lame' so I stopped. "Oh. Ok." Jenna said as she picked up her phone. When they were finished eating they walked through the mall to a clothing store of some sort. Guess what happened to be on the way there... the Payless. When Rich saw it he stopped, everything was spinning around him. His friends didn't notice until they heard him scream. They turned around and rushed over to him. "Rich what happened?" Brooke asked. "Oh crap guys. The Payless." Jeremy said. The Payless didn't affect him though. "What's going on with him?" Jake asked worriedly. "He's having a PTSD panic attack, I'll handle this." Michael said to the group. "Hey Richie, look at me, everything is ok. The Payless isn't gonna hurt you. I'm here the gang is here. Everything is fine. Remember: don't dwell on the past." Rich hugged Michael and he picked Rich up. Jake grabbed his crutches for him. Instead of going to the store they all decided to go home. They had already made a scene in the mall and didn't want to risk another one.
- time skippy skip-
- still 3rd person -
Michael and Rich went home after the scene that was made at the mall. Michael knew not to poke at Rich, to make him talk about what happened earlier so they watched a movie. And of all the movies that could have been playing on HBO at the moment, it was A Walk To Remember. One of the all time sad movies, right up there with The Notebook. They sat on the couch with a blanket around them, hugging and crying because of the movie. "W-why did she have to die?" Rich said in between sobs. "It's so awful!" Michael said, also between sobs.
- Michael POV -
As I sat and cried about the movie I thought about how Rich's leg had healed up and he would have to go back home tomorrow. I didn't want him to go. I didn't want him to have to deal with his awful father. Is it selfish of me to want to just talk with him in my basement forever? Am I crazy? I started to cry about this instead of the movie. I feel so bad for the boy. He gets bullied in school and everyone stares at him. They all still talk about the fire. If only they knew the full story, the real story. If they knew what was really going on they'd shut up and mind their own business. They assume and assume. "ALL PEOPLE DO IS ASSUME JESUS!" I just said that out loud didn't I? "Mikey? Are you okay?" Rich asked me, suddenly not concerned with the movie. "People just suck. They treat you like garbage without even knowing you, the real you, and it sucks!" Rich was confused at my sudden mood change but determined to help. "Oh yeah. I know, but not everyone sucks. You happen to not suck a lot." He said to me laughing. He always knew just what to say. "What did I do to deserve you?" I said as I kissed my boyfriend. "I could ask you the same question." He smiled kissing back.
I know this chapter is really short and it took me forever to write I was having extreme writers block and had no ideas for the chapter. Sorry guys.
