IV- JAMES PALMER

James Palmer is an average guy. Eldest of two brothers, he was raised to be a simple guy. His family is in the food business. Because of their busy schedule, his parents decided to let his grandfather take care of him. He stayed with his grandfather for six years. During his stay there, James saw the real world. He experienced the simple life that his parents want for him to learn.

"Grandpa, about mom and dad, do they hate me?". "What makes you say that James?". "Well, it's not that I don't like it here, but, why did they have to leave me here? Can't I live with them?". "They do not hate you, son. In fact, they love you so much. They left you here with me because they are busy with your business. They want a good life for you.". "But I don't want a good life. I want them.". "Don't worry James, in time you will understand."

During his stay with his grandfather, James saw the different faces of society. Poverty, problems, violence and selfishness. Through all these, his grandfather helped him understand.

After six years, his parents brought him back to live with them. Living with his grandfather made James want to live a simple life. Two years after he returned home, his brother was born. Seeing his little brother, James' drive to be successful in life became stronger. He graduated elementary and high school with the highest honor.

A few days after graduating highschool, James' grandfather died of cancer. Looking at his grandfather insidethe coffin, James remembered all the times that he was with him.
