Days went by as if nothing has been bothering James. Michelle and Hannah started hanging out with 'The Mafia' after their invitation. They would hang out, pig out, and from time to time, study. Everything was going well.

"So, James. What's the plan?" Patrice's question got Michelle's attention. "Nothing. Peace and quiet. Just that and I am fine." Michelle finally asked, "I can feel that I missed something. What happened Tim?" You didn't know?" Tim said. "James' birthday is this Friday." "Really?! James why didn't you tell me? I would've planned a party for you. And I would've thought of something to give you." Michelle exclaimed. The whole group couldn't help but look at each other after hearing what Michelle said. As if communicating with each other using only their eyes. "Thanks for the enthusiasm, Michelle. I appreciate it, but, I really don't want anything this year." Seeing James' reaction, Hannah can't help but be curious. So, she asked Michael about it. "Oh, that? It's nothing. He's just frustrated." "About what?" without giving away a name, Michael explained everything to Hannah. "That's it?" exclaimed Hannah. "Yup. He fell, alright. He fell hard and face first." Explained Michael.

During their class that afternoon, Michelle was still thinking of a perfect gift for James. "What do you think, Hannah? What could be a good gift for James?" Hannah paused for a while before she spoke. "Stop thinking of what to give him. Because you can't give him what he really wants." Surprised, Michelle exclaimed, "Wait, you know what he wants?! Care to share it with me?" "James wants a girl." Hannah said. "A girl? What's that suppose to mean?" Michelle exclaimed. Hannah continued, "Michael told me that James likes this girl but he doesn't know how to tell her without risking their friendship." Confused, Michelle asked, "Really? Is she someone we know?" "No, I don't think so. Michael said she is a high school friend." Hannah added. "Oh, well. Lucky her. Whoever she is." Michelle said with a slight disappointment. Hannah, with a look of concern on her face said, "Why don't you just tell him?" "And look like I'm the one chasing him? No way! Besides, he has that high school friend of his, right? He'll be fine." Michelle said.

The week passed and it was alreadyJames' birthday. Although he insisted not to have a party, 'The Mafia' stillgave him one. "I would like to propose a toast. To James, may you have a longand happy life and we all hope you get her." Michelle said. Surprised, Jamesasked, "You know?" Michelle smiled. "About your high school friend? Yeah.Hannah told me." Confused, James continued. "Who told her?" With a smile, Michellesaid, "Michael". James confronted Michael about the situation and Michaelexplained everything to him. "Hannah wanted to know, so I lied. I told her yoursituation but I didn't tell her it was Michelle." "And who is it supposed tobe?!" James said angrily. "Sarah. Remember? Back in high school you had a hugecrush on her. I don't think they'll look for her so just relax." With what heheard, James felt a little relieved and enjoyed the rest of the evening.
