"I'm doomed!" Says James as he entered his dorm room. In the room was Patrice, James' friend and dorm mate. "What's your problem? This morning you were all smiles and now you're saying you're doomed?! What happened?". "Michelle is what happened. I think I love her." Exclaimed James. "Are you serious?! It's only been a couple of months since you've met her." "I know, but, I've liked her ever since I saw her outside the school campus that day. What should I do?" "First of all, you need to calm down. Judging by your looks, I can see that you are not confused. But I suggest you don't tell her yet. Establish good friendship first. That way, whatever happens, you'll have a fall back.

"Easier said than done! What am I supposed to do? Pretend that nothing changed?" James said in an annoyed voice. "Honestly, yes! Do you really want to risk your friendship with her and mess things up?" James stood up to leave the room. "Where are you going?" "Out. Somewhere I can be alone." "You shouldn't be alone right now. Call Michael. He'll know what to do." James called Michael. A third year Accounting student in his school and also his friend.

"So, what's up? It's not like you to call me at this time of the night to meet. Is there a problem?" Asked Michael. "Sort of." James paused for a brief moment to breathe deeply. "I think I love her, Michael." "Who? Patrice? I thought you were just friends?" "No! Not Patrice! Michelle. Something happened today." James told Michael about the little incident that happened that afternoon. He explained everything to him. "Well, are you sure? About your feelings? Have you thought it might just be an infatuation? Don't take this the wrong way, but, it has been a year since you last had a girlfriend. Don't you think maybe you just miss the idea of a girlfriend?" inquired Michael. "I've thought of that. Very deeply. And I know I don't just miss the idea of a girlfriend. I really like Michelle and if possible, I want to see where things would go with her." "Am I the first person to know this?" "No. Patrice already knows. She said I should wait for the right moment." "I think she's right." "But I want to tell her already!" exclaimed James. "So tell her Michelle that you like her." Said Michael in a challenging voice. "Easier said than done! To be honest, I'm scared. I've liked Michelle ever since. Even before I met her. I'm scared that I might lose her in my life if she knew how I feel for her and I don't want that to happen. I don't want to lose her in my life."

The conversation went on for hours. It was already past midnight when James came back to his dorm room. "So, howdid it go?" asked Patrice. "Not good! I'm still doomed!" "Michael couldn't helpyou, huh?" No, it's not that. He was plenty of help. But I realized, it's allup to me." James explained. "So? What's the plan? Tell her everything and riskyour friendship?" "No. there is no plan. I can't even think straight." "Go tobed. You'll figure it out tomorrow." Advised by Patrice.
