Maggie and Ben walked into the kitchen in their house.
Ziggy was standing at the fridge, taking out a carton of milk.
"Morning, guys," she displayed a big smile.
"Before it was always a nightmare for you to get out of bed, but for the past few weeks you've been getting up at the crack of dawn!" Maggie commented.
"Is it a crime to make breakfast for my beautiful family?" Ziggy poured milk into a cup of coffee.
"Well, what's on the menu?" Ben wondered.
"Pancakes, with strawberries and syrup," Ziggy flipped a pancake and put the pan back on the stove.
"Sounds delicious," Maggie glanced worryingly at Ben.
"Trust me, it is," Ziggy grinned as she put all the pancakes on a plate in the middle of a table.
"So, dad, are you opening up the shop this morning?" She added.
"Is that your way of trying to find out if Dean's working today?" Ben asked.
"Dean? Who's that? The name doesn't ring a bell," Ziggy sipped her coffee.
"Ask herself how that happened," Maggie pointed to Ziggy's ever growing bump.
Ziggy shot a deadly look in her direction.
"Haha you're hilarious, mum. Do you know how hard it is being Dean's friend when all you want to do is kiss him?" Ziggy groaned as she held her head back in misery.
"You two were friends for almost two years before you started going out," Maggie pointed out.
"It's not the same as before we started dating. Now I know how good our relationship was and I miss it," she replied.

Dean was lying on Colby's couch as he scrolled on his phone.
Colby stepped out of the bathroom and he jumped when he saw Dean.
"Do you always have to barge in here, Dean?" He demanded.
"It's a tradition now, Colby," Dean smiled.
He stood up and handed Colby his phone.
"Which crib do you think is the best? I prefer the top right one, but the one next to it is good too," he commented.
"I never thought that I would see the day where you're buying a baby crib," Colby chuckled.
"Come on. Which one do you like?" Dean pressed the issue.
"Mate, I know as much about cribs as I know about String Theory," Colby rolled his eyes.
"I'm going into Yabbie Creek later to buy one and do it up for Zig. That will be one last thing for her to worry about," Dean explained.
"Is it not a bit early for a crib? She still has another bit to go before her due date," Colby pointed out.
"Well if we have everything sorted out early, it won't cause her stress further down the line," he told him.
"How is being just friends with her?" Colby pulled a chair.
"It's not the easiest thing I've ever done but we weren't in a good place. We would have ended up hating each other when the baby is born," Dean said.
"I know what's it like trying to just be friends with someone who you loved. It may be okay to handle and navigate for a few weeks, but you'll get to a point where you'll be wishing that they come back," Colby said softly.

"Well aren't you enjoying life?" Willow popped her head around the sitting room door in Ziggy's house.
Ziggy was sprawled out on the couch, reading magazines and had a tub of ice cream on her lap.
"I feel like I live on this couch. I get up early and I need a good few naps during the day!" Ziggy told her.
"You look nice by the way," she added.
Willow was wearing a navy crop-top and a black leather skirt.
The clothes were paired with cute ankle boots.
"I actually have a date," Willow beamed.
"Who's the lucky guy?" Ziggy asked.
"Um actually it's a woman," Willow put in.
Ziggy's eyes widened.
"Go, Willow! That's great," she smiled widely.
"Her name is Alex and she's a doctor at the hospital. Zig, she's incredible. She's funny, witty and so kind. I have never met anyone like her before in my entire life," Willow gushed.
"Have you had a girlfriend before?" Ziggy put a pillow on her lap.
"I've been in casual relationships, but never a proper one. She makes me feel excited and alive. I have never had an instant click with anyone before. All my past relationships have had friendships as the foundation, but when I saw Alex, I couldn't help it with her," Willow grinned.
"Aw look at you, Miss Soppy. That's so cute," Ziggy leaned over to give her a hug.

A few days later, Ziggy and Ben were walking down to the beach.
"Dad, I don't want to go surfing," Ziggy grumbled as she ambled to the water.
"I've never heard you say that before," Ben commented.
"This pregnancy makes me feel like I'm a whale," Ziggy groaned.
"Sweetheart, you look great. I remember when your mum was pregnant with you. She hated going out too, but it's good for you to get out," Ben assured her.
"I feel like I've been pregnant forever and I still have my third trimester to go," Ziggy put in.
"Trust me, Zig. When you hold your baby in your arms, it'll be the most magical feeling in the world. All the morning sickness, headaches and mood swings will be a distant memory".
"Says the guy!" Ziggy teased.
"I get what you mean. It will all be worth it when the baby comes," Ziggy displayed a small smile.

Ben and Dean has planned the whole thing out.
Dean had told Ben that he wanted to build the crib while Ziggy was out.
That was why Ben took Ziggy out for a surf.
Dean picked up the screwdriver and tightened the bolt.
He stood back to look at his work.
As he cleared up the mess, he heard a car in the driveway.
"What's for dinner tonight?" Ziggy asked her dad.
Then, she saw Dean in her room.
"Dean! You almost gave me a heart attack. What are you doing here?" Ziggy cried out.
"I have a surprise for you," Dean said.
"I don't like the sound of that," Ziggy pulled a face.
"Stop being a Negative Nancy and just look," he told her.
Ziggy unwillingly made her way down the hallway.
She gasped when she saw the brown wooden cot.
"Dean, you're so sweet," Ziggy's eyes teared up.
"Are you crying?" Dean tilted his head.
"Pregnancy hormones," Ben and Ziggy said in unison.
"You're going to be an amazing dad, Dean," Ziggy declared.
