Dean had known about Colby killing Ross ever since the day that it had happened.

While Dean in no way condoned what Colby did, he understood why he did it.

Colby was protecting Bella and all their friends.

The only people who knew were Dean, Willow, Karen and now Bella and Ziggy.

Ziggy was speechless when she heard Colby confess to Ross' murder.

"Zig, we can explain," Dean tried to take her aside.

"Wait, you knew about this?" Ziggy's eyes widened in anger.

Dean just glanced at her.

"This can't be happening. You need to get out of my house, Colby!" Ziggy demanded.

"Ziggy, please just let me explain," Colby pleaded with her.

"Get out!" Ziggy shouted as she pointed to the door.

Colby released an exasperated sigh but did as Ziggy ordered.

"How could you have a murderer around me?" Ziggy held her stomach.

"It's not like that. Colby isn't cold-blooded. He was trying to help Bella and protect everyone," Dean tried to defend Colby.

"It sounds like he's the guy that we need protection from. I don't want to be anywhere near him," Ziggy shivered.

"It's been a long day. Why don't we just go to bed and talk about it in the morning?" Dean offered the suggestion.

"I don't want to be near you either, Dean. Leave me alone," Ziggy folded her arms.

"Ben and Maggie are gone for the next few nights. I don't want you to be on your own tonight," Dean said.

"I'll stay with her, love. You can go," Karen chipped in.

Dean hesitated.

"It's okay. I'll look after her," Karen promised as Ziggy turned on her heel.

A few moments later, there was a slam of the door.

"I've really messed things up, haven't I?" Dean groaned.

The next morning, Karen opened Dean's caravan door without warning.

"Wake up, Deano," Karen clapped her hands together.

Dean opened his eyes.

"Mum, what are you doing here? You said you would look after Zig," Dean pointed out.

"Well she left first thing this morning and I can't really look after someone who doesn't want to be around anyone," Karen told him.

"Where did she go?" Dean pulled the bed duvet off of him.

"She took her surfboard with her," Karen replied.

"I need to talk to her," Dean slipped on a t shirt and pair of Converses.

"I don't think that's a good idea, Dean. She's clearly annoyed and furious. Ziggy will probably bite your head off," Karen said.

"Mum, she's pregnant with my kid. It wasn't that long ago that she just passed out. I don't want to risk anything bad happening to her or the baby," Dean said.

"Dean, I think Ziggy is great and last night at dinner, I had never seen you happier. You made a mistake by not telling her about Colby, but she's made a mistake too. Ziggy hasn't signed the divorce papers yet," Karen told him.
