Walking into the locker room, I couldn't help but smile, knowing how much I had an impact on Brady and how I had three amazing men in my life that would love me and always be there for me, my dad, Brady, and Liam. Oh gosh, I almost forgot about Aiden. How could I possibly forget about that little squirt.
Smiling to myself, my thoughts were interrupted by Scotty slamming her shoulder on the locker to the right of mine, grabbing my attention.
"You guys need to be together," Scotty said rushing towards me.
"Who? Liam and me?" I asked dismissively.
"Yes!" Gabby said making her way into the conversation, leaning on the locker to the left of me.
"You guys are crazy, not in a million years." I immediately started trying to keep myself occupied, fumbling around with things in my locker because I didn't want to talk about Liam and me. It wasn't even a possibility.
"Why not?" Gabby raised her eyebrows.
"Cause I'm practically his little sister." the irritation in my voice was undeniably apparent.
"All I'm saying is he doesn't look at you the way Brady looks at you, that's for sure," Gabby said, laughing.
"How does he look at me, then?" I raised my eyebrows at her, mocking her.
"Like he's in love with you," Gabby said as if it was an obvious thing.
"You're actually crazy." I could hear the annoyance in my voice. Shaking my head, I began to laugh at the complete idiocy of the whole conversation.
"I'm serious, Mag. He looks at you like he is genuinely happy to see you. Not like you're just another pretty face," Scotty said trying to get in my line of vision, because I was doing the best I could to ignore her.
"Ohh, thanks, Scotty. What the hell does that even mean?" I interrupted.
"That's not what I meant. I just meant he looks at you like he appreciates you. Not like you're an object or another girl that's just 'hot.' Almost like he's proud of you in a way, and just feels lucky he knows you."
"That's a whole lot of feelings in just one look," I replied as I started to giggle. Gabby looked at me and let out a laugh, too.
"Yeah, and we all thought Mag was the hopeless romantic," Gabby added. We all looked at each other, laughing.
"Alright, well whose house are we going back to after the party tonight?" I said trying to get off the subject of Liam Hendrix.
"Do we want to just do your house, Mag? I'm not drinking tonight so I'll drive us back," Scotty replied.
"Alright, that's fine. I'll see you guys at the game." I turned away, walking out.
"We're not done this conversation!" Scotty shouted. I knew she meant the conversation about Liam.
"Yes we are!" I yelled back, not even turning around.
"Are Brady and Liam coming tonight? Just need to know if I should save Brady a seat next to me; if not, I can always sit on his lap," Scotty shouted out.
Unable to ignore her comment, I turned back to them, continuing to walk backwards. "You're a real piece of work."
"Masterpiece, some would say," Scotty replied with a grin.
"Who? Who are these people?" Gabby's brows furrowed as she questioned her in disbelief.
I couldn't help but laugh. I turned back around, heading out.
"So, that's a yes to them coming?" Scotty shouted back.
I shook my head and threw a thumbs up. I couldn't believe them for saying all that stuff when I'm literally with Garrett. Not to mention, so what if Liam even liked me; he was with someone else, and so was I. A part of me wondered if Garrett looked at me like that. I'm sure he thought all of those things about me, how could he not? He told me he loved me and we'd been together for over two years. The way Gabby was explaining the way Liam looked at me, was the way every girl wanted to be looked at, especially me. And I couldn't help but smile at the thought of anyone looking at me like that, let alone Liam.
