I reach down to the fallen Teagan to check her pulse. "Her hearts not beating!" I holler. Now is when I use everything I have learnt about CPR.
"Kacey put Teagans head in your lap, lift her chin into the air," I order while beginning the chest compression's. Kacey does as told. "Now when I say, plug her nose and breath into her mouth for ten seconds," I demand while counting how many chest compressions I do in my head.
I get to thirty chest compressions. "Now" I demand. Kacey plugs Teagans nose, opens her mouth and breaths. Ten seconds later still nothing. I do thirty more chest compressions. "Again" I order. She repeats what she had already done.
Cough, cough, Teagans chest starts to rise and she begins to cough. Rylee who had been holding her hand the entire time, lets out a sigh of relief.
"We have to contact Gregor," I state. "Did Ben give you a number?" I add. "Yes" Kacey says as Rylee hands her a number. Kacey calls it.
15 minutes later Gregor comes and picks us up. Rylee carries Teagan and Kacey carries the still knocked out Cannon. I can't believe we all went out of the windows when the bus exploded.
I can't believe Teagan died, and I saved her. Now I see why Teagan is the leader, she's willing to die for us.
We arrive at a small hut. "This is it," Gregor remarks. Gregor is a scrawny blond man in his late fifties. "Take the kiddos in there are a couple of couches where you can set them." Gregor states barley getting his English correctly.
Rylee carries Teagan inside and lays her on a vintage sofa. Kacey sets Cannon on a futon. A girl about fourteen years old, Brown hair with old blonde highlights, walks into the room.
"This is my daughter, Brynn," Gregor introduces. "She has the antidote. A healing Rec." He claims. Brynn walks over to Teagan an lays her hands on her temples. "It's bad." She mumbles.
Rylee walks over to Kacey, who is sitting in a lazy boy, and sits on her lap. Rylee is scared shittless. "It's going to be okay Ry," Kacey whispers.
Brynns whole body starts to glow. Teagan starts to glow also. Teagans eyes shoot open and she gasps. "Where am I?" She stutters. Rylee jumps out of Kacey's lap and sprints over to Teagan, Kacey follows.
Brynn walks over to Cannon. Lays her hands on his temples, then the back of his head. "He has a brain bleed," She mutters.
"Where am I?" Teagan repeats in a more aware tone. "It's okay squirt we're safe now, at Gregors," Kacey responds. "Yeah, we are safe right now," Rylee confirms.
I am still in shock. This all happened so fast. I walk over to the lazy boy that Kacey had previously been sitting in, and I slowly sit down. "Are you okay Gray?" Kacey asks. "Yes, I think so," I reply. "It's just a lot to take in, that's all," I add.
Rylee leaves Teagans side, walks over to me and bear hugs me. "Thank you so much Grayson," She thanks me. "You saved her life," She remarks.
