I wake from my slumber. Teagans arm is still wrapping me in a hug from last night, I don't dare get up in fear of waking her. I love her.
I promise to cherish every moment I have with her, because someday she might not be around anymore. That fear almost came true just yesterday. Life goes by way to fast, it's scary how fast it can end.
I look around, Cannon is nowhere in the room, Kacey is asleep on the futon and Grayson is snoring on the floor. I wonder where Cannon ran off to this time.
Teagan gasps and basically jumps awake. I let her think I'm still sleeping. She hugs me tighter, careful not to wake me. "Hey Teagan," I whisper. "Hey Ry," She responds.
"I love you so much," I whisper. "I love you to babe," She confessed. "Want to go see what they have for breakfast?" I insist. "Yeah sure," She responds.
I get up off of the couch. "Do you need help up?" I ask. I watch her struggle to even sit upright. "No" Teagan stutters. Teagan is almost to stubborn, I usually can't tell when she is in pain, but I can tell right now.
I grab her arm to help her up. She stands for about fifteen seconds and falls straight to the ground. "Shit" She mutters. "It's okay Teag," I comfort her.
I lift her up and she wraps her short little legs around my waist and puts her arms around my neck. She kisses me, "You know I've always wanted to do this," She giggles.
I carry her into the kitchen and set her in a chair. We both laugh because we looked very awkward.
"What? The boss can't walk now?" Cannon starts. "Shut up, she just died yesterday, let her get her strength back," I defend."Hey Ry, chill Cannon's just being sarcastic," Teagan Spoke as she touched my arm. "Sorry" I muttered.
"They have cereal next to the Cheetos under the sink, bowls are in the next cabinet over," Cannon states. "Teagan, would you like some cereal?" I offer. "You know I hate breakfast," She counters. I did know that, I also hate breakfast.
I believe we just came in here so that we didn't have to be quiet. "Cannon, are you okay after yesterday?" Teagan questions. "Yeah, I only have a major headache" He states. "How about you darling?" He gloats. "Fuck off," Teagan counters. Cannon pisses both of us off at times.
Grayson walks into the kitchen. "Morning sleepy head," Teagan laughs. "I'm not sleepy head, that would be Kacey who is still asleep," He counters. "Okay smartypants," Teagan jokes.
Brynn walks out of her room. I look in when the door opens and holy crap is it small. "Hi Brynn," Cannon sings. Brynn shot him a look, it's a look that I know all too well. I think they are together. "Uh hi," She spoke quietly.
"Teagan still can't walk," I speak up. "She died, she is probably very weak," Brynn responds. "Is that normal? How would you know?" I counter. She shoots me an offended look. "I graduated last year and am currently studying medicine, I think I know," She counters.
Before I can say anything back Teagan speaks up. "That's cool, what do you want to go into?" She questions. "I want to be a pediatric surgeon," Brynn responds. "That's awesome," Teagan chimed.
Kacey walks into the room. "Morning Kacey," Grayson greets her. She says nothing. She walks over to the sink and pukes. "I have the stupid flu," She mutters.
"You're very pale," Brynn claims. "I'm always pale, My entire family was pale," She grumbles. "I'm going to go lay down," Kacey states as she walks back into the sitting room.
Teagan tugs on my sleeve. "I need help up, I have to pee," She whispers. "Do you wanna try to walk?" I ask. "Yes" She responds. I help her up, she just stands there.
Teagan uses her hand to balance on the table. "Put your arm over my shoulder, I'll help you," I insist. She grunts and does as she's told. "The bathroom is by the entryway to your left," Brynn claims. "Okay," I respond.
I help Teagan to the restroom. "You want me to wait out here or come with you?" I ask. "Please come with me," She whines.
We walk into a tiled restroom, everything the walls and floors were all tiled, and close the door behind us. "Please turn around while I pee," She orders. "Okay, I shall turn around," I speak. I turn around and she sits on the toilet and pees.
I hear a flush, I also hear Teagan stumble over to me. "Turn around," She insists. "Okay" I giggle. I turn around and she kisses me. I kiss her back and then wrap her in a bear hug.
"I don't know what I would have done if you stayed dead," I began to sob. Teagan squeezes me tighter and rubs the back of my head. "You would have kept fighting the war, to save the world," She responds.
I don't know if that's true, I think it would of broke me if she stayed dead. I pull slightly away from Teagan, I kiss her. "We should get out of here, people might think we're doing something else," Teagan jokes.
We walk out of the restroom and back into the kitchen. "So what time do we plan to leave boss tomorrow?" Cannon asks. "Eleven thirty," Teagan responds. "Sounds great to me. Thanks boss," Cannon speaks.
"We should all sleep for the day tomorrow, we are in for a long night," I demand. Everyone nods. "Plus I for one am exhausted," I joked.
"Hey squirt, I think you should sit this trip out," Kacey suggests. I guess she decided to join us again.
"Yeah, I totally agree," I added. Teagan looks at Kacey, then at me. "But-" She begins but is cut off by Brynn. "Teagan, if you don't sit this out, you will only get weaker. There is always a chance that what was wrong with you could happen again. You have to it sit the trip out," Brynn orders. Teagan grunts.
I reach over and put my hand on Teagans shoulder, she jumps. "Do you want to talk?" I ask her. She nods. "We have to go get some air," I tell everyone.
I help Teagan to her feet, and we go outside. "What's wrong Teag?" I questioned her. "Why can't I come?" She asks. "You can come if you can walk to the end of the driveway," I respond.
I let go of her arm and she falls down. "Well that settles that then," I state. "Leaving you scares me," Teagans eyes fill with tears. I help her to her feet. "It's the only way that you'll ever get better, we need you to win this war." I remind.
"But I need to help you guys, I have the best telekinetic control," She whines. I pull her in by the waist and kissed her. "We'll be okay Teag, We can be on speaker phone the whole time if that's what you need,"I laughed.
Teagan does not respond, she only kisses me back. My god I love her.
