After I had calmed down a bit, Lena pulls back. I whimper at the loss of touch, the loss of warmth. "Where's my hair tie?" She asks quietly, and I blush.

"I kinda, um." I motion to the floor.

"Right." She chuckles, bending down to pick it up before quickly tying her hair up in a loose, low ponytail.

"I'm going to start again," she states, walking over to the stove.

"Lena, you don't have to."

"But I want to," Lena tells me, turning around to grin slightly.

"I appreciate the thought, I really do, but it'll be less work for you if we just ordered breakfast. That way, you can spend more time with me." I smile hopefully.

"Ugh, okay. Just because you're so cute."

I blush, trying to hide my embarrassment, but failing.

"We have the whole day to chill."

"Weekend," I correct under my breath. "That's if you'd wanna stay?"

"Of course I would. I'm just going to quickly fix us some pancakes."

I sigh, giving in. Lena smirking at my defeat.

Why does she have to be so hot?

She turns back round to start cooking the pancakes again. I can't help but stare at her. How is it humanly possible for someone to be so beautiful?

After gaping at her for a bit, I decide to take a seat at the breakfast bar, watching her as she flips pancake after pancake.

"Kara?"

Oh no, she realised I'm staring at her.

"Wha- oh, sorry."

Lena chuckles at me before placing a plate stacked full of pancakes in front of me. "I think I might've made too much, so don't worry if you can't eat it all."

Is she a mind reader? Does she know that I eat so much that people start to question if I'm human? She made loads.

I smile at her. "It's perfect, thank you, you really didn't have to."

"You're more than welcome."

I pour a bunch of syrup over my pancakes before I start eating. Lena takes a seat next to me, doing the same. We begin eating in silence, neither of us really knowing what to say. I don't think it's an awkward silence, it's more of a normal silence, if that makes any sense.

I am the first to finish, clearing the plate with one final scoop of syrup on my spoon. I look up, meeting Lena's gaze. That was a mistake. She's nearly finished and once our eyes are connected, she carries on chewing while staring me dead in the eye. Oh.

Her perfect jaw is moving up and down while she's staring into my soul.

I'm about to have a panic attack. No joke. I take in a sharp intake of breath before Lena finishes eating and places her cutlery on top of the plate.

My eyes widen as I feel the heat come back and I blush. Again. So much for trying to hide it, Kara. "Are you okay?" Lena asks, clearly amused that her eating has an effect on me.

I gulp, nodding. I shake my head, snapping myself out of 'daydream mode'. Lena smirks at me. I bow my head, fiddling around with my glasses, trying to hide my blush.

Although, I'm startled when I feel a soft hand on my cheek. Lena starts caressing my cheek, making it tingle. I look up to meet the stunning green gaze of the smirking goddess.

"Don't hide, it's cute."

I smile softly. Curse her hand on my cheek. She could feel the heat rising on my face. This isn't fair.

I bow my head again.

Out of the cover of my eye, I could've sworn I spot Lena biting her lip. My insides are going crazy. Not to mention her hand is still on my cheek. My cheek.

She moves her hand to my chin, tilting my head up. Our eyes meet. She moves her other hand to tuck a strand of my hair behind my ear.

Then she moves, standing up from her chair, and walks agonisingly slow over to me. I glance up at her blankly, so she leans down to press a gentle kiss to my forehead. Suddenly, a surge of confidence bounces through me. Don't ask how or why, as I have no clue.

I slip out of my chair, the new height dynamic leaving a stale taste in my mouth. I wrap my arms around her waist, taking her by surprise when a gasp escapes her throat from the contact. Pulling her closer to me, she looks up at me, a smile twisting at her features.

Her hands slide up my front to cup my cheeks, feeling the skin burning against her touch. I grin like a dork at her, searching her deep green eyes for an insight into what she is thinking at this moment. Although, before I can take a mental image of how content she seems, Lena leans in closer and captures my lips with her own. Obviously, I return the kiss, her mouth muffling the gasp I let out from the startle, nerves set on end.

I let my hands wander her back before reaching under her shirt, running blunt nails across smooth skin. I don't have a single clue of what the hell I am doing, but she doesn't pull away so I'll take that as a win.

I feel like I'm about to explode. My head is aching with want, my stomach is crumpling like a ball of paper. Removing my hands, I run my fingertips along the thin skin of her neck, before we pull apart slowly.

I'm still in shock and just stare at her in awe, not trusting myself to speak. My body is shaking with the amount of tingles going around it. I open my mouth, about to speak before closing it again. I regain my breath that had just left my body for what I thought was for good before speaking, "was that... okay?"

A soft laugh filters into the air, the press of warm lips against my cheek, "of course."

I start rambling. About what, I don't know. Why? I also don't know. Lena removes one of her arms from around my neck, placing her index finger over my lips to silence me. That shuts me up, alright. A dark eyebrow is raised at me, making me smile.

I take her hand in mine, taking her by surprise. Not once breaking eye contact, I bring it up to my face before kissing the back of it gently.

Without hesitation, I pull her hand closer to me, wrapping it around the back of my neck again. I cup her cheeks before we start kissing again. This one isn't as hungry as the last one, funnily enough.

It's slow, passionate and full of love. We break apart after a minute or so, Lena wrapping her arms around my waist, pulling me closer to her so that my head is buried in her neck.

We pulled back from our embrace, her arms still wrapped around my waist, grounding me.

Absentmindedly, my eyes travel down and I bite my lip. She then must've realised what it is I'm looking at before my brain catches up with my eyes.

"Kara," she speaks softly. "My eyes are up here."

I blink furiously before a blush creeps up on my face. I'm about to look down to the floor but decide against it. Instead, I remove one of my hands from her back and fidget around with the glasses on my face.

"Kara," she says softly again, the hint of a teasing tone to her voice. Lena's adoring look is distracting enough.

I look up at her and our eyes meet. I guiltily swallow, "sorry."
