Hannah Preston's body is so shunned upon by society. Even though the size of her thighs and the shape of her hips don't meet society's expectations, I think she's absolutely beautiful. – Alex Peak
Josh Campbell's hair choices may be different, but that doesn't mean he's not beautiful. Who are we to judge something that makes that person feel good about themselves? Thigh gaps and collarbones are what media portrays as beautiful. And they're right. Thigh gaps and collarbones are beautiful. But what people fail to express, is that, it isn't the only form of beauty. It offends people, upsets people, angers people, and sometimes, makes people defensive about other body types. Despite what media teaches society about the expectations of our bodies, we need to learn to appreciate them all; both spoken and unspoken forms of exquisiteness. Rachel Thomas, with her thigh gaps and collarbones, her slender shoulders and sunken cheekbones, is beautiful, and no one should tell her otherwise. Just because the media fails to acknowledge other forms of beauty, doesn't mean we should shun upon those bodies that magazines and television brush upon. Rachel Thomas may not think she's beautiful, but I do.
